In each situation, we have different behaviors because many factors affect to us. According to A Horse and Two Goats story, Muni’s characters are opposite to an American man’s characters. The Muni’s wife has behaviors with her husband opposite with the American man’s wife. When Muni lost all things and his worth properties are two goats, he lost power in his family. He doesn’t earn something to eat but his wife can work in the Big house. Hence, his wife always scolds him and he becomes hate in his wife’s eyes. This story tells “He knew that if he obeyed her she would somehow conjure up some food for him in the evening. Only he must be careful not to argue and irritate her. Her temper was undependable in the morning but improved by evening time. She was sure to go out and work grind corn in the Big house, sweep or scrub somewhere, and earn enough to buy foodstuff and keep a dinner ready for him in the evening”. The above sentences want to stress the Muni’s dependence into his wife. After he is sneer by the shop man, he come back home. Although he is scolded by his wife, he still is quiet and goes out so that she can improve her angry. We see that Muni maybe is a man who is weak in the moment. People who can earn money have “the upper hand” in the family. In other word, he is so poor so he becomes weak in front of his wife. Even the poverty makes their character to begin changing. Therefore, he just can obey his wife when she is angry. In addition, his wife becomes angrier when her husband can’t earn money to buy food. Especially, Muni has money when he talks with the American man and thinks that he wants to buy two goats. His wife also thinks that he steal money when he brings money for her.
