Changing the past is possible by altering the memory of it. Changing the memory of it is possible through changing thoughts of what happened by thinking about past ordeals differently. This creates an alternate past leading to the creation of an alternate present free of the past. History lives in the conscious part of the mind, which makes describes it as living in this context. It is hard to ignore this fact, and that is why the past has some influence on the future.
‘The comparison of two texts in terms of how the contexts of each shape form and meaning necessarily involves consideration of key perceptions into the human condition they offer?’ When we compare two texts, consideration is given to the effect of context and how it shapes form besides meaning. To what extent has this been your experience in your study? The context affects the differences in the meaning and form between two texts. It is evident in Jane Austen’s 1816 novel Persuasion and 1998 film Shakespeare in Love directed by John Madden. The 1998 film is set in the Elizabethan times despite the modernity of the form.
important events that follow a chronology in the past, to evolve their narratives, as the ultimate ends of the stories are probably already familiar to the reader. This technique of using history also might increase the expectation of the known event, where the reader is aware of what is about to happen and he awaits the events wondering what will happen to the protagonist. The following describes and discusses the relationship between history and fiction in these two books and will view the personal history in contrast to the fictional part of the books. How far is what they describe actual fact, authentic history, and what is fictional in the novels? Madison Jones’ book Nashville 1864 is about the events of the Civil War in 1864 recalled, over 36 years later, by the mature Steven Moore, who experienced the war firsthand as a twelve-year-old boy, as the son of a Confederate soldier.
This happens because new philosophers focus more on the concept of memories and not those of consciousness. This causes their views to be distorted and not capture Locke’s original ideas. Schechtman an alternative method to analyzes Locke’s view that focuses on the importance of self-understanding. This new insight on his views focuses more why the consciousness is so essential to personal identity without basing it purely off the
Who: Who is involved? What: What do I want to accomplish? Where: Identify a location When: Establish a timeframe Which: Identify requirements and constraints Why: Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal. M = MEASURABLE We need to be able to measure a goal to know how close we are to reaching it. Longman Anthology of British Literature suggests that one chooses to perceive their past according to the importance and value of events that have occurred, rather than perceiving them factually or in a non-biased fashion. By stating, “We see the past through lenses that show us something of the world we live in,” Longman is saying people are view their past based off of how they are living today in their own lenses. How that one person perceives the event and how it had impacted them is their own lens. Everyone’s earlier experiences lead to something that happens later on in life, meaning that no lens is exactly the same. An example of this is how one is effected by the people they decide to associate themselves with and how their experiences

Many people would answer this by stating that what is believed to be right or wrong is essential for any discussion about our behavior. If this is the case then we could never have a meaningful discussion about morality. Ethical statements are not just about observable facts, but are often statements about what we believe should happen and so are not very easy to establish as true or false, as they are expressions of points of view not shared be everyone.
So rather than getting someone to defend their current behavior, we want to get them talking about change. As the client begins to start talking about change and some of the things they can be doing differently, they are likely to follow through on those
History also shows us the cause of certain issues that we have today. In order to fully understand certain things we have to go back into the past to see where it first started. In order to fully understand the present we need to understand the past also. With that being said if we can learn from the past we can avoid making the same mistakes over and over again. History is “a chronological record of significant events (as affecting a nation or institution) often including an explanation of their causes; events that form the subject matter of a history or events of the past” (Mirriam-Webster, 2014).
