Compare and Contrast Cairo and Bangkok Aspects

Cairo and Bangkok are the best-known cities of Egypt and Thailand. Cairo is the capital of Egypt whereas Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, both are the capital main commercial centre of their countries. This report will compare and contrast some of the physical features, population, people and economy of the two cities. The physical features of Cairo and Bangkok are quite different. Firstly, Bangkok is found in 1782 but Cairo is founded earlier than thousand years in 969 AD. The Bangkok’s land area is much larger than Cairo’s since the former is 1562 square kilometers but the latter is only 215 square kilometers. Although both cities are built on the banks of the River, Bangkok is located in the central, meanwhile Cairo is located in the north-eastern of their country. On the one hand, Bangkok has tropical climate but on the other hand Cairo has desert climate. For this reason, there are two seasons in Bangkok with wet season and dry season whereas Cairo has hot summer and dry winter. Other differences of these two cities are the populations and the composition. In general, the population of Cairo is slightly lower than Bangkok. Because Cairo’s population has about six million and eight hundred thousand people, in contrast Bangkok’s population has seven and half million people. Moreover, the percentage of people descent in Cairo is much higher than Bangkok’s. While 95% of people who live in Cairo are Egyptian descent, Bangkok has only 75% of people are of Thai descent.
