The Airbus was founded in 1969 and it is based in a suburb of Toulouse, with production and manufacturing facilities mainly in France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. However, the 747-8 is the largest commercial aircraft in the US, and the fastest jet airliner developed by Boeing. The Boeing Company was founded by William Boeing in 1916 which is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, helicopter, rockets and satellites. Boeing is the largest global aircraft manufacturers. In June 1994, Airbus announced its plan to develop its own very large aircraft. A double-decker layout that contained more passengers than a traditional single-deck design. The aircraft manufacturing started on Jan 2002. The development cost of the A380 were £11-14 billion when the first aircraft was completed. The A380 cost US$428 million, whereas the 747-8 cost US$357.5 million. The first A380 was delivered to Singapore Airlines and Emirates was the second airline to receive the A380. The primary users of A380 are Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, Air France, and Qantas. On the other hand, in early 2004, Boeing continued to develop improvements to the 747 as alternatives to the A380, with better fuel efficiency and reduced noise. Boeing used technology from the 787 Dreamliner to modernize the design and systems. The development cost of the 747-8 were US$3-4 billion. Lufthansa received the first 747-8. The primary users of the 747-8 are Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, British Airline, and Korean Air. The Airbus and Boeing want to make lighter weight of the aircraft so the A380 and 747-8 include new generation aluminum alloys for wing
