Kealey Clark UNIT. 302 C Describe how my own values, beliefs, and experiances may affect my working practice. Everybody has different values, beliefs, and preferences. What you believe in, whats acceptable, important, and desirable is an essential part of who you are. My belief is to have a aim in life, and work towards it, whether it be a aim in life to work towards, whether it be higher qualifications to better my job prospects or working towards bettering my career path, each is a great belief for me to acheive as this will be beneficial to my children and improve my way of life.
However stakeholders must understand the putting the community first outweighs the cost. In allowing the community to re-establish their lives will aid in the rebuilding of the island, thus placing Kava back in the eyes of
• Conclusion • In conclusion, some people should not conclude that having good personal ethics are not necessary in a workplace, and only in your personal life. There are many reasons which explains how this program has allowed a foundation that helps me to be a good citizen, and to be a youth leader in my community. Dreams are things that are vital for a human to feel as though they are a valuable component to their communities, or society in general, because it gives them a chance to provide for a group of people they care for; they feel as though they are making a powerful difference, and it not only satisfies communal needs, but the needs of the individual to fulfill their life-long mission. Objective 4 Discussing the key characteristics of Empowerment and Effective Support Practices Empowerment is a compelling concept that I believe means to draw strength or “power” from within. I am fond of the person-centered approach because it emboldens advocates to develop skills in empathy, positive regard, genuineness, appropriate self-disclosure, and intentionality. As a family support service advocate, I am applying my knowledge, education, and life experiences to empower the clients that I serve at the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services. I will be facilitating informative parent workshops that will provide resources and tools to educate and build confidence within the parental clientele. I am exceedingly committed to supporting, encouraging, and educating parents and their families in our Sacramento communities.
Leadership is another trait that can’t be easily developed, but only with thorough diligence and dedication. Eureka College can help develop those that desire more in the field of leadership and service. Being a good leader means you have the interpersonal strength to deal with difficult issues. Leadership qualities are desired but not easily attainable without outside help. The main idea that Eureka tries to convey to the student is that if you want to have a successful and productive life, then Eureka College can help you pursue that goal as long as you try hard and stay focused on your
The next step will depend on how proactive you want to be. Do you feel as a staff and as an administration that you feel you know what the needs are? Or should you perhaps do a survey asking what the needs are, both from the student population, the teaching population, as well as the community as a whole? The plan that I am setting up will go as follows. Once the Leadership Team is set up, we will meet and then briefly discuss why we each wanted to be on the committee.
Trying to encourage them that they are to look at there situation in a positive manner, when they are hungry, homeless, and cold, would be doing them a great disservice. First try and help them with their basic needs, then they will be able to focus better on the other needs in their lives. Also as a HSW, I must develop a client and service worker relationship that is built on trust. I must inform the client that my main responsibility is to them and to help them find and to achieve their goal or goals in life. If my job is not important to me, and my desire to bring about a positive change in the life of some one, then trying to become a HSW is not a field that I must endeavor to
