Some individual who are being supported in the community will find care worker support and encouragement invaluable. For example, it is better for individual to do shopping and manage at the till independently (unless support is necessary) and this will help to develop their confident and life skills. 3, Describe how daily living tasks may be affected by an individual’s culture or background Daily living tasks may affect those depending on their culture or background, as what someone may have been brought up believing, may not necessarily be accepted as the general view of society within UK in their current times. We live through trial and error and we need to make responsible decisions. You have to think clearly to make conscious decisions. Environmental health: Environmental health is how you appreciate your environment. You should take the time to make your environment a friendlier atmosphere. You should volunteer for clean up days in your local neighborhood, or pick up a piece of trash if it is
Manhattan’s Chinatown Manhattan’s Chinatown in the New York City is the largest Chinese community in the United States, with tens of thousands of Chinese immigrants living there. It is a very busy and characteristic area in the city, and the people living there lead a very distinct life compared with other American. Since I am also a student from China, I would like to use what I learn in the Anthropology class to study more about this place and the neighborhood over there. And I am planning to find out how is the working-class people’s life there and how these Chinese Immigrants pursue their American dreams. Manhattan’s Chinatown is located on the lower east side of Manhattan, covers an area of about two square miles, with approximately
Once the migrants got through the entry barriers, the migrants found that their new life was almost as difficult as the one they had left behind. A lot of farms in California were owned by large companies and corporations. They were bigger than the farms in the plains, and the crops were like nothing that the migrants had ever seen before. Fields of wheat were replaced by crops of fruit, nuts and vegetables. Similar to the Joad family in John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath", about 40% of migrant farmers wound up in the San Joaquin Valley, picking fruit and cotton.
It is in our power to donate food and help others, so we should do so. My view in premise one that choosing to donate food and help others is morally good is generally accepted because it doesn’t say that a person is morally bad because they don’t donate food or help others. It only acknowledges that a good deed has been done. For example, if someone decides to teach because they want to help develop and inspire others, then they are doing something morally good, but if they choose a career path other than teaching this doesn’t imply that they’ve done something morally wrong, only that a good deed has been done. Premise two says if we can do good without causing a significant negative change in our lifestyle then we should do so, this premise suggest that good should be done if your life isn’t negatively impacted or there is no change at all.
Tourism was also increasing so that a promenade and other tourist attractions were built. By the end of the Victorian era, the population was 47000 and during the mid-1900’s it had grown to approximately 147,000 and was one of the most famous British Seaside resorts; the most popular style of holiday at that point in time. However, during the late 20th Century there has been a decrease in tourism numbers and Seaside holidays have become decreasingly popular as a result of cheaper international fights and change of tastes although it still attracts millions of visitors per year as a result of its iconic attractions such as the Blackpool Tower, the Blackpool Illuminations and it’s Tramway; the UK’s only surviving 1st generation tramway. Over the last 300 years, Blackpool has
Paris is the capital city of France and it is the most populated city in the country with a population of over 2 million people. The city is also sometimes known as the city of light and it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world with about 30 million tourists visiting per year (I’m not too sure about this fact but I think it’s about right). It’s no surprise that Paris gets this many tourists as the city contains some world famous monuments/museums such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre. When I visited Paris, I expected it to be busy and densely populated but I didn’t expect quite how busy it was. Because parking space and availability is limited in an area that is as urban as Paris is, the most popular form of transport is the Metro underground train.
