History of the Newton Abbott Fire Company Inc. Our history actually began in the minds of men who could see a need for a method of controlling mans worst enemies, “Fire”. For example, here in Washington State due to the budget cut, more of the education programs have been taken out. This issue leaves inmates without anything to do and the inmate now have only minimum training working in kitchen and maintenance jobs which due to background check most inmates cannot get a job after they get out . There is minimum scholarship offered to inmates who need to pursuit their education. Also drugs education programs have been decreased because of the budget cut. Even DOSA (Drug Offender Sentencing Act) which says they get half time upon completion of drug counseling, most inmates are unable to complete.
The company was suffering from the issue of the most hard-working and loyal employees were now nearing retirement and replacing the new employees as well. The other issue was looming. The company had a market share of 70%, but it has reduced significantly. The reason is that many companies had emerged manufacturing the same products. The last issue that the company had suffered from which was losing several industries, especially in the U.S. 2.
The landlord didn’t give the immigrants a place to put their garbage so they just put it in the hallway, or just throw it out on the street. Nobody came to clean up the mess, which left terrible stenches in the air. Another harsh condition to live under for the immigrants was the water. During this time there was no water sanitation department, and barely any indoor plumbing. Residents of these atrocious tenements had to collect water by scooping their water up from the streets or faucets on the street and then heat it up
At the other station I met a twenty-four year old fireman. We talked quite a bit and I learned that it’s pretty hard to get accepted into the fire department. I have read about him in detail about his early life and professional life as well.I learnt that a good leader should have much more confidence so that he may lead his workers in a proper way and may also teach them that how to spend their lives in a self-Relying manner.All his methods and working capabilities should be adaptable so that people may follow his actions and may avail his good qualities by following him. He should be very polite and behave others in a nice way so that the people may not feel shy in expressing their feelings and emotions in the most open way. A good leader should always wait for the right time for the right action. So that he and his people may be able to avail the real fruit of that action. A good leader should have a matchless vision he should be worried for today as well as for the future.
