That day when the women came to speak, and class was over, I put myself in her shoes see what she went thru; it is hard to try to talk over like 30 kids in one room. I felted so bad I wanted to apologize to the woman but I was too late. I was paying attention; I wanted to tell her that I am sorry for how my classmates acted with no self-control. That we mad the LPP program have a bad name. I bet now she does not want to come back because of our behavior, and the way we acted like

I worked every weekend and three days during the week. I also went to school for 8 hours a day, and 5 hours at work. If I wasn’t working or at school, I was sleeping. My girlfriend and I were in a crucial part of our relationship when I started working and it put a lot of stress on us. But, we learned to adjust and work through it.
‘I’m your mother. In which her daughter replied ‘if you want to be treated like a mother, you should act like one. “ it is evident that the way things are conducted in the family is known to be wrong by the children as she points out to her mother that her actions and behaviour do not depict that of a mother, this shows both maturity and understanding, and again the will to rise above her current situation. "But on that first day of school, Mom refused to get out of bed. Lori, Brian, and I pulled back the covers and tried to drag her out, but she wouldn't budge."
Affecting Change Paper Jenea M. Smith LDR 531 March 21, 2011 John Thompson Affecting Change Paper Leadership can be defined as the ability to encourage and persuade others to work towards achieving a goal. Leaders are individuals who are concerned with doing the right thing, and managers are individuals who are concerned with doing things right. Leaders of companies and organizations are often faced with challenges of motivating employees to adjust to cultural changes and organizational structural. In large companies or organizations, the efficiency of managers depends on the influence they have over their subordinates, as well as their peers and superiors. She decided to go to her manage and ask when she would be getting paid, but the only thing her manager could tell her was “next week”. She grew tired of contently hearing “next week”, after this she decided that she wasn’t going to work any longer until she was given her pay from the pervious month. But the more time wasted, without pay, the sicker her daughter became. That was something she couldn’t bare. She had no one to help her.
Many women probably did not even know how to write because their were neglected from their studies or were probably always to busy doing what ever their husbands wanted them to do. Rich's life was different she knew something had to change and that is the main reason why she decided to write about it. I would consider her as a model to all the other women at the time, her essay should have been a way to encourage other women to get off their buts, stop washing dishes, stop having kids, get their life together and start studying! The sad part of this is that till this day not many women are being recognized for their hard studies, and it has been almost thirty four years since this has come out to the public. This failure to consider what women need from their college experience in order to succeed is, as Rich says, part of the old belief that women's primary goal is or should be marriage--and that "[t]oo much intelligence or intensity may make [them] unmarriageable" (215).
Much like the 30 days video we watched in class, she found that working a minimum wage job would not support her. She had to get two jobs so that she would be working 7 days a week since the one job wasn’t enough money. Barbara having to work 2 jobs and 7 days a week and still barely making enough money is horrible for any person to have to do. Having to do what she had to do, and many other Americans still do, has no happiness and something that nobody wants to do. Having her time and happiness taken away from being forced to work these minimal paying jobs is not what the American Dream is, and people from day to day have to do
I promised myself I was not going back to school and I told my mother but she insisted I’d go and I had no choice. So instead I would act out and not go to class and stay in the bathroom. I stopped completing my work and began to make myself sick just so I could go home early every day. Ms. Cameel told my mother if I did not start completing my work I would not be promoted to the third grade. I was upset but I had to get away from Ranasha amd the rest of my classmates.
