Ever since I took classes where I learned about various countries and their cultures, it has always been my dream to be bilingual. In so many places around the world, children begin to learn English at a very young age. This has always been very important because the United States is a very powerful independent country, unlike many of the smaller countries with failing economies. This brings me to one of Gonzales’s main points, that immigrants don’t want to come to the United States, but have to for a better life. Many people think immigrants are willingly “taking over” the United States, but I agree with Gonzalez.
People around the world see the American Dream in all different ways, but all thoughts of it include the person achieving happiness. There are many things that have changed the thought of achieving the American Dream. The American Dream is something that anyone can achieve, and something that everyone dreams of, but it is something that is much harder to get now or even unattainable. Getting a good job is a part of many peoples American Dream. Nowadays getting a good job that pays well is a big struggle.

Ashley Sills 09/24/2015 GS1145 Change Wheel There have been many things to impact my life but some major events are: joining the military, getting married, and having two wonderful children. Joining the military was my first big decision on my own and I wouldn’t change it for the world. It made me a better person. Shortly after I came back from basic I got married. It wasn’t easy at first being away from home after just getting married but we survived.
However that’s only the beginning of their struggle. UCI’s librarians’ discuss: “those who had been well established in their homelands, such as educated professions, had to start all over again in a new language, return to school, and be re-certified in their professions” (http://seaadoc.lib.uci.edu[->0]; source #6b). It was difficult for the refugees and immigrants to start over, they had no idea how things worked around their new location. There could have been a slight chance where things stayed the same, but that was almost always unlikely. Everything about where they were now living wasn’t clear at all, anything they knew about life was taken away from them.
I think this quote opened the eyes of the people and made them realize they needed to help the country out and do their part in society. He also wanted to unite the people and explore the problems they were being faced with. He knew he couldn’t simply fix all the country’s problems by himself so he focused on the present and future citizens and set goals for the country as one, as well as the country’s we have friendships with. He had a goal of welcoming new states and cherishing them. A custom friendship was key to him.
Does My Generation Have a Role in America’s Future My generation will play many roles in America’s future. For we have the next doctors, lawyers, and maybe even the next president. A lot of people seem to look at my generation from a negative point of view because most crimes that are being committed are by teens, and the drop-out and pregnancy rates have gone up dramatically. Though most people of my generation try to instill a positive image, the negative image blocks that view because it out ways the positive. This generation has begun to show improvement in the past few years.
It has taken me years to make good friends, but now that I have them I feel ambitious and more motivated. I am blessed that I have grown up very privileged with the opportunities in the United States to continue with my education. If I have stayed in the Dominican Republic, I would have never been the person that I am today. In general, I am someone that will try my hardest to achieve my goals. I know that my life has not been perfect, but I have tried my best to triumph despite what obstacles I am facing especially during my academic
The impact that immigrants have on, not just California but the entire U.S. is really overwhelming and astonishing. Immigrants that migrate to a whole new life, come exactly just for that. They want the freedom and liberty that America has to offer. Being a second-generation immigrant, relating to the difficulties that my ancestors and even my parents had to go can be breathtaking and very appealing to me. Immigrants suffer through their long and treacherous journey but fortunately people unite, stand strong and that’s when historical events get
It makes a great impact in their lives, and it helps them out in a lot. In to what they were looking for, or basically, be better. Be successful and show others many new things. How to make this country a better place, and a better economy. Back in the old days they let immigrants come into America with no problem too.
