Audience Analysis Paper COM/285 5/22/2012 When you present to an audience what are some of the characteristics that you must have an order to captivate your audience? What type of communication channels are appropriate and why? When you are preparing to speak to a diverse audience what are some important things that should be considered? How can you ensure that you audience not only retrieved the information but are clearly following your message? These are some keys points that many presenters fail to captivate in their speeches. Which of these are the most appropriate and very common among businesses? Face to face, this form of communication not only gives your audience a chance to interact with you but if it’s something that is very important you can show them how concerned you are. Let’s say that there is a cap on raises and there could possibly be a lay off in the near future. How well do you think audiences will take this information let’s say by email? They are going to think that this person has no feelings and truly doesn’t care about their questions or anything. Conferences are other important channels that allow many different parties to communicate from anywhere in the U.S or overseas. Conferences are used when someone is unable to come to a set location or have another meeting taking place around town or even out of state. Communication is a major key in any business and without this a lot of companies would fail. Sending a formal letter show’s that you took the time to prepare and everything was well sought out. You can always tell the difference between someone well prepared presenting and someone that literally looked at the materials
