You would not be allowed to write a paper the day after an examination was scheduled to be written, so you should not expect us to accept your portfolio after the due-date that has been set for it. To be clear, therefore, if you submit your portfolio after the due-date set out in Tutorial Letter 101, it will not be marked, and you will officially be marked as being absent from the examination. In line with this, you should not wait until the last minute to finalise or submit your portfolio online (via myUnisa). Whether it is Murphy’s law, or just an overloading of the system: if you wait until the last minute to finalise and submit your portfolio something could go wrong in the process that will see you miss out on the due-date. You are reminded that there really are very few excuses that will get you another opportunity to submit your portfolio (have a look at them by reading your my Studies @ Unisa brochure). A last reminder on this point is that you will not be able to resubmit your portfolio. The one that you submit the first time should be your final, complete copy (once again, you need to make sure of it), as this will be the one we mark – no matter what. • Your first draft is not good
