Question One: What factors do you think contributed to the level of success your group achieved? Communication was key to the success of Group 1. From the outset discussions within the group about our individual strengths, weaknesses, availability, and a time frame for when we wanted to achieve aspects of our assessment were clear and well discussed. I had suggested to the group on the 5/8/14 it would be great if we could have subtopics and themes locked in by that week ending we could go onto discussing who would do what. The Piece it together activity cemented our collaboration commitment and was a great way to get us all together. Referring to Distance Learning Tips for Online Group Success David R Wetzel December 18, 2010 article group one was always bound for success. We had all key components in place such as agreeing to keep collaboration on the wiki rather than using other platforms, getting to know each other, listening and finally a willingness to share all aspects of the assessment. Group 1 was successful through every aspect of the assessment. Using the wiki to do all of our brainstorming, setting goals as well as discussing all relevant details of our assessment is what led our group to success. Our groups success can also be attributed to the fact we relied on everyone's strengths. We had clear intentions from the very start, on 11/8/14 Krystle and Bernadette took the time to form a timetable outlining when we wanted to have goals achieved which was still flexible and easy to achieve. On the 16/8/14 I bought up different aspects of our presentation which needed to be completed as well as actual adding of our individual information. From here as a group each of us put which part we would like to take on there was an equal distribution of work.
