Compare and Contrast: College Professors College isn’t always easy and choosing your professors doesn’t make it any easier. History has always been one of my least favorite subjects and always found it a bit boring. But after failing it the first time, I knew I had to pass it the second time or I would have to pay higher tuition during the third attempt. I had to decide on whether to take the professor I had already took or choose a completely different one. An advantage I had if I chose the professor I had already took, I knew his teaching styles and how he graded.
Without morals and personality, the individual won’t have a purpose in life. Character gives purpose to concentrate on their specific developments of life. If colleges understand that education is not just a way of distributing information, and more focused on teaching the person the drive of education, therefore the college would be priceless as it would teach students life learned lessons and experiences to solve daily problems. This will allow students to develop their

In addition students do not know how to approach the new demands required for independent study.– Metacognition is the awareness of one’s own learning and thinking process, that enables each student to take responsibility for their learning, allowing them to set goals, self assess and implement, however the metacognition side is not taught in the early years. What a student perceives as study skills will depend on the individual, what is effective for one will not be for the other. Study skills are developed through frequent use and become a natural action; skilful reading develops by constant reading and writing by writing. As the mind becomes more fine tuned the student will realise they can apply more to analytical and critical thinking - “Constant practice and critical reflection is essential if the student wishes to succeed” (Cottrell, 2013 P66).
Mohanad R. Mohsen WG4a Alisha 8/14/ 2013 E1D1 Cash for good grades Motivation is the power that pushing us to do things we have to do, things that we know very well they required to achieve our goals. And only students who stay motivated about their study make success. But the secret here is find the good reasons behind this motivation, and the paying for the students for good grades seem like sending the wrong messages to make them doing well for the wrong reasons and this causes future negative effects. Responsibility doesn’t always come with rewards like people don’t get money for keep their houses clean or for eating healthy meals. Memo Date: August 25, 2013 To: Jamie Granger From: Olivia Okuma Subject: Executive Summary of the Article “Teaching Smart People How to Learn” The Learning Dilemma The following paper is an Executive Summary of the article “Teaching Smart People How to Learn”, by Chris Argyris. Good leaders are made not born. If you have the desire and willpower, you can become an effective leader. To inspire your workers into higher levels of teamwork, there are certain things you must be, know, and, do. These do not come naturally, but are acquired through hard work. Leaders learn by trying things out and then critiquing their performance.

Clinical Reflection Paper Throughout my clinical experience there have been several interferences that everyday life has thrown at me that have caused a delay on me finishing clinical, there were several times that I wanted to give up on not just clinical but on the everyday struggle of life. So for me my clinical weakness would be not allowing my own life outside of work or my education to steer me off focus of my main goals. Nothing good comes easy and without sacrifice and as God continues to wake me up every morning I am learning that lesson more and more. I feel like it’s all been a test, a test to see how bad I really want succeed. Another weakness would be confidence, I know I am capable of doing the work but sometimes I doubt myself and my capabilities especially in the O.R.
