Ever since I was a little girl I always assumed the leadership role in school from being eager to be the line leader in elementary school to taking on the leadership role in group projects in high school. Sports were never my forte, so I turned to clubs. When I entered middle school, I joined the Student Government Association and I continued to be a member all throughout middle school into my freshman year at Collins Hill. My sophomore year at Collins Hill I was invited to join Beta Club and sent in my application with no hesitation. I applied for more than just one position for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year because I believe I can offer something for more than just one position. My greatest strength that I can contribute to Beta Club is the fact that I am a problem solver. I can look at different situations from all angles and work my way through any obstacle. I also communicate effectively, and listen extremely well. Beth Revis said in her book Across the Universe, “Power isn’t control at all — power is strength, and giving that strength to others. A leader isn’t someone who forces others to make him stronger; a leader is someone willing to give his strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own.” My goals as an officer of Beta Club no matter what position are to build on the strengths of my own and others as well, and to help others to grow as well as myself by being given opportunities and ultimately
