Although it was indeed small, there was enough room for himself. One day, he received a call from his cousins, Eric and John, from China, and he learned that they were coming to visit him. Excited about the news, Robert straightened up his apartment nicely and cleaned up all the messes that were in the living room. He stared at his place and thought about how small and uncomfortable the apartment was, and this was the maximum he could provide for the visitors. Looking at this, Robert hurriedly dug out his savings and decided to provide the best hospitality to his cousins by inviting them to malls and treating them whichever food or
I got my favorite coffee and went to sit down at table. I was the only one at the café at the point. After I got the newspaper, I heard the door open. I just took a look because the noise caught my attention. When I saw who came through that door, I was amazed .
He is in the Photo department and stocks the shelves while he is not printing pictures, good job Dan for the promotion and 15 cent pay raise. A customer looks at him and asks, “Do you work here?” Dan looks at the customer, puts down the nuts he was about to put on the shelf, and responds, “no, I just like stocking the shelves, and wearing the ugly blue shirts and name tags that say Walgreens on it.” Now if only he said that. After only a few months, he has now started the transformation to becoming a bitter retail employee. The onset of this syndrome is fairly soon after you discover you don’t like the job your currently
The customers can be classified into two kinds: the long-standing customers like residents and faculties, and temporary customers like students and visitors. In September 2009, Tim Hortons will open up its first store in the West Mall Complex (WMX) of SFU, replacing Raven's Cafe and Chartwells. Tim Hortons is a fast-serve coffee franchise that serves coffee, espresso products, cold beverages, sweets such as donuts, and breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. The company’s quality products, combined with a strong reputation for service and reliability, allow them to attract and maintain a large and loyal customer base nationwide. Although Tim Hortons and Renaissance Coffee operate in different segments of the coffee market, and differ strongly from atmosphere and business structure, to product quality and product pricing, Renaissance's sales level may still be strongly affected by this opening.
After that first meeting we asked him if we could take notes and he had no objection. I was very good at shorthand so the next meetings with Jelly would be in restaurants where we would take him to lunch. I would try to take down everything he said about the old days so didn't have much time to eat since he would take about ten minutes to answer any question about musicians we had heard about. It was very fascinating. We were not aware that much of this material had been recorded by Alan Lomax at the Library of Congress, most of it in
On Sept. 22, 2012, I had the opportunity to interview Richard at Community Fire Department in MI. Because of schedule conflicts, it took a while for us to finally sit down and talk. I asked him some questions that would give me an insight into what he deals with on a daily basis. Some questions were personal in nature, but were asked for a deeper understanding of what makes a good man as well as a good chief. I arrived at the station and entered into the downstairs meeting room.
The Villain! My customer service villain is one of the cashiers at the Dollar Store on Lancaster. After recently moving back to the Salem area, I’ve been exploring my new surroundings. On a trip to the dollar store, searching for birthday decorations for my son’s first birthday, I walked in to a long line and one cashier. It’s a pretty
He said his name was Dan and that he was the General Manager of the store. I asked him about my application status and he looked it up and gave me an interview later that week! When I came back, I had on jeans and a T-shirt, but he didn’t mind. We sat in the lobby and talked for a half an hour and he offered me the job! I was so excited because it was my first real job, and I had a friend from school that worked there also, her name’s Jessiee.
Macy’s Observation Just this past Friday I went to Macy’s coffee shop in Flagstaff to see if I could observe a group of people talking to one another. Macy’s is a small coffee shop that has seating that is located both inside and outside. After I ordered something to drink I took a seat inside the coffee shop that was located relatively in the middle, this way I had a better chance of someone sitting near me. Soon after, a guy and a girl had sat down at the table next to me which I had then soon observed them as being just friends by the way they spoke to each other. For the remainder of the time that I was there, the conversation between the two mostly consisted of them talking about their day at school and what they were going to do over the weekend.
I never knew exactly why I wanted to become a RN, besides the fact I wanted to follow in my dad’s footsteps. Until my grandpa started to go downhill. Before I started going to kindergarten, my dad would always drop me off at my Grandpa’s house while he went to work up at the University of Utah’s Hospital. Our mornings together consisted of going to the Coffee Shop where everyone knew who we were. We would always sit at the bar each morning while Carolyn, our waitress, would bring my Grandpa his coffee and me my chocolate milk.
