Assessment for learning should be part of effective planning of teaching and learning A teacher's planning should provide opportunities for both learner and teacher to obtain and use information about progress towards learning goals. It also has to be flexible to respond to initial and emerging ideas and skills. Planning should include strategies to ensure that learners understand the goals they are pursuing and the criteria that will be applied in assessing their work. How learners will receive feedback, how they will take part in assessing their learning and how they will be helped to make further progress should also be planned. Assessment for learning should focus on how students learn The process of learning has to be in the minds of both learner and teacher when assessment is planned and when the evidence is interpreted.
I will create this environment through an engaging curriculum, personable interaction, topic orientated discussions, and group work. The last essential right a teacher has in the classroom is to receive help and cooperation from parents and administrators when it is needed. To parallel Teacher rights the Students also have essential rights under the assertive discipline model. Students have the right to have teachers who help limit inappropriate, self-destructive behavior, and the right to know and choose how to behave knowing of the consequences of their behavior will automatically bring. In a classroom that follows the assertive discipline model the fore mentions rights are carried out and applied by three major strategy components used by the teacher; rules, positive recognition, and consequences. According to this model students need limits that will guarantee their and other students’ rights.
The students also become able to work on individual goals while also participating in the classroom community with their peers. Another beneficial quality includes the fact that each of the parents can now feel including in their education and the activities of their neighborhood schools. One of the most important qualities of this program is that the students that were once excluding into self-contained classrooms or were homebound can now develop friendships with a wide variety of other children with their own individual wants, needs and abilities. One last reason that inclusion is beneficial is that inclusion positively convinces both the school and the community to appreciate the diversity provided by the inclusion
The key strategic purpose of the teachers is to prepare lessons to impart information and make them as interesting as possible to keep children engaged and to promote learning by leading discussion and encourage participation.
