CIS 105 Week 3 DQS CIS 105 DQ 1 There are a variety of computers available, from the smallest computer in a domestic device to the supercomputers used in industry. Despite the different uses for computers, they all have basics elements in common—each computer system involves hardware, software, data, and users. Think about the role of each component of your home or work computer: How do the components of your computer system interact within the system? What improvements or additions to your system do you think would benefit you or make the system more user-friendly?
Both management’s executive and senior have work stations with Apple iMac computers that vary in size of monitors and gigahertz and hard drive capability. Since Microsoft offers many programs that will be useful in organizing the business, and is usually included with new computer purchases, this is the software I recommend. This is also a familiar program to most users as well as user-friendly. Once all is installed, apps that can be found online can also be implemented at a later date, such as several Google applications that are pertinent to this business. I recommend Ruben and Lisa purchase smartphones that will provide remote connectivity to the business computers to allow each of them the freedom to access information from remote locations should the need arise. This will also enable them to perform many tasks from anywhere without the need to physically be in the building.
Application service providers (ASPs) (Also known as Cloud Computing) - The provision of computing resources, including applications, over the Internet, so customers do not have to invest in the computing infrastructure needed to run and maintain the resources. Open source software - Freely available including source code. Developed by a community of interested people. Performs the same functions as commercial software In-house developers - If sufficient system development expertise with the chosen platform exists in-house, then some or all of the system can be developed by the organization’s own staff. Hybrid solutions involving some purchased and some in-house components are common.
Memory Management Phillip Schepok POS/355 August 18, 2014 Paul Rouk Memory Management Computers are everywhere. The daily lives of the human population are constantly in use of a computer, or some sort of electronic equipment that is ran from some sort of technological computer. People may not realize that everyday things that help us live our daily lives are surrounded by electronics or computers. The alarm clock to wake you up in the morning, the coffee maker with a timer, the microwave to warm your oatmeal, the television, the automobile, the cellular phone, and the desktop or laptop computer all plays an important factor in our livelihood. To have these working computer electronics one must realize there must be some program to make these products work.
The last network I use on a daily basis is my home network. Now that’s interesting because my computers are on their own network and then there is my cable and telephone all also using that same connection in order to work. 2. Binary data codes like EBCDIC, ASCII, or Unicode are often presented using hexadecimal notation rather than a long list of 0’s and 1’s. Likewise other items requiring long sequences of 0’s and 1’s like IP addresses to identify network location are generally presented in non-binary formats as well.

Many control panels are included as part of the Windows operating system, but others can be installed by third-party applications or utilities. For example, if you add a new mouse to your computer, it may come with a CD for installing a control panel specific for that mouse. Some graphics cards may also install an additional control panel that gives the user greater control over the computer's visual settings. Regardless of when control panels are installed, they can always be found within the Control Panel folder. The Windows Control Panel can be accessed by clicking the Start menu and selecting Control Panel.
