As a result of, the recent recession the group hardest hit were youth, the elderly, indigenous people, the disabled, and women (Social trends and emerging challenges and their impact on public health n.d.). It is social problems such as this that demands the most attention, from our public personnel. If problems such as this are going to be dealt with, by either a private or public agency, or the combination of both of these, there will be a need to hire extra staff, more employable hours will be needed, and the finances to do it (Schottland,
Presented in the argument above, the author claims that a new store should be built in Plainsville. The argument seems at first glance to be a reasonable decision. After a careful inspection, however, one will find that it suffers from several critical flaws as follows, rendering it logically unconvincing as it stands. The threshold flaw with the argument is that the author unfairly assumes residents in P (Plainsville) do highly concerned with leading healthy lives, upon which he finally draws his conclusion. Although the author offers several facts, which seems to be compelling to substantiate his conclusion, these facts actually lend little credence to the author’s claim after close scrutiny.
Many texts show a great depth in visual elements to portray their central ideas. “Run Lola Run” Directed by Tom Tykwer and “Next” by Lee Tamahori both dramatically portray our position within time itself and how much of a difference a day really makes. Although our lives are governed by time, these directors show us the possibility of time being manipulated, which makes the viewer ponder, “If only I could control time”. Time itself is the way the world moves on. In ‘Run Lola Run’, we see the constant visual technique of clocks re-occurring throughout the film to remind us of how time has a greater power over us than we sometimes realize and that we cannot control it.
In the article by Garrett, Baillie, McGeehan, and Garrett (2010), the health care professional’s obligation is to “provide the health care information and leadership to ensure that this distribution is accomplished in ways that allow the goals of health care to be achieved” (p. 71). Although the physician informed Ms. Selbstmord of the lifestyle changes she needed in order to improve her condition, he failed to inform her of other important treatment options. The physician decided against prescribing Ms. Selbstmord a medication for asthma because of the side effects that would result. However, the principle of double effect of nonmaleficence would suggest that improvement of her asthma by the medication would create more good than the harm of the side effects so it should have been given as an option for the patient to decide. If the health care professional would have provided Ms. Selbstmord of all of the options for treatment and their consequences, it would become Ms. Selbstmord’s responsibility if whether or not her condition improved or worsened.

Healthcare is forever changing but is also becoming more and more diverse daily. A lot of organizations struggle in this area as they do not understand the importance of properly managing diversity. As the VP of HR it’s my responsibility to encourage and nurture the group of diverse individuals as they can often bring more innovative ideas, perspectives and views to their work and the organization as a whole. With the mixture of talents of diverse cultural backgrounds, genders, ages and lifestyles, an organization can respond to business opportunities more rapidly and creatively, especially in the global arena which must be one of the important organizational goals to be attained. More importantly, if the organizational environment does not support diversity broadly, one risks losing talent to competitors (Rosenberg, 2008).

When asked about visiting the doctor to increase his medicine, Mr. Ramirez says he has not. Since increasing the dosage has helped, he does not feel a visit is necessary. (3) List the relevant values There are many things to consider in this case. One important value suggested is the welfare of the patient, which considers the moral rule to protect others from harm. I have good reason to believe that increasing the dosage without consent from the doctor will result in harm to the patient.
