I know it's not as bad as segregation but it's around those times they wouldn't even let there be a mixed race relationship so I'm sure my mom would not have had a problem with those rules being applied to right now. But anyone should be able to marry or let alone associate with whoever they want. Back then before the civil rights movement there would be police officers killing and beating black people for no reason at all. In these recent years there have been reports of the same things going on, but people have just been jumping in to conclusion thinking that history is basically repeating itself. Then again many don't know what they've been threw just to get to where they are today many died trying to have freedom many have died also. In my opinion I would have to say yes many people enjoy equality. These times have changed drastically throughout these years looking around my classroom it’s all kinds of different people. I like how we could all feel comfortable with each other and not think anyone is any less then we are asides from the racist people in the world I'm sure everyone is content with the way things are now. Others are going to have to just deal with it. This world is a huge melting pot with different ethnicity everywhere
