In a foraging society, they had to hunt and gather their own food which was a big disadvantage because that means they had to constantly be moving around because one area could not keep a society alive for a whole lifetime. In an urbanized society, they grew their own food so they could settle in one area. Being in a foraging society was very difficult because they could not get large amounts of food each day and they could not settle in one area. After they got all the food in that area, they had to move somewhere that had enough food to support them for a while which could be hard to find. Being able to settle in one area like an urbanized society was a big advantage.
The growing economy makes the cost of living more expensive, the overpriced houses are closer together, so you have very little yard to keep up with. The larger city also has faster internet and cable television. There are many disadvantages to living in the big city neighborhood. The economy has inflated property values and taxes, adding the cost of living. The crime rate is very high, putting you and your family at greater risk of being the victim of a crime or violence.
The plague followed them there but the living conditions were better as the houses were stronger, weatherproof and more comfortable. The Black Death took down the economy as half of the population died. The ordinary people became wealthier due to more land and equipment, whereas landlords started suffering losses. The ordinary people had got more freedom and money than ever before. They became wealthier than they were as there was a lot of land available and they bought it for cheap prices.
This gives them a lot of hope and makes them feel wanted. During this time period many workers were needed. Immigrants would take jobs for less money and more hours than an American would. They would do anything to find a job. They would work hard to succeed because they had less than the American citizens.
The factory system affected American life in many ways. First, it helped the American economy grow because goods were cheaper, more people could buy them. As people bought more, the factories needed more workers and more workers meant more people who were earning money to buy things. Second, the factory system contributed to the growth of cities. A single factory might hire thousands of workers.
Especially houses in desirable areas such as London, because the “invisible hand” was moving all the lucrative workers, who had been able to make money in the boom years, to London. Consumption, as a result, increased hugely because of PPP was a lot higher in London compared to e.g. Middlesbrough. Also more importantly banks were offering better credit rates and loans became easier to obtain. This “spend now, pay later” approach crept into the housing market with the self assessment mortgages being advised to those you couldn’t afford the going rate of houses and soon became the cause of the bust.
Granite there is not a lof of people that think this way, but from hearing people say that, the idea is definitely out there. Another limitation would be that since Mills wants to provide the greatest happiness for the largest amount of people concerned, there would be a problem with people not looking as hard for jobs especially in the inner cities, where being on welfare is common. There would be people content with having a welfare check given to them every week and also receiving health care along with it and there would be less people looking for jobs, since they have both of those necessities given to them. Though there are not a lot of limitations that come with Mills theory on healthcare, the few that do are vital in the decision making process of weather the reformation of healthcare for every
(Costa) Most Americans point out the bad and disadvantages that immigration brings, but immigration does bring benefits. Immigration analyst Daniel Costa says immigrants are harder working then most of the average American because they make more of an effort to stay in this country and they see that by living here it is a privilege and not a right, which some Americans take for granite. (Costa) Immigrants contribute back to the U.S by expanding their culture and ethnic traits, which creates a more diverse America.
Commercial goods can be transported across the country much easier than before. Anything from food to toys are easily delivered from one side of the country to the other. For most commuters, highways are taken for granted. Without highways, things like getting to and from work or visiting family may take much longer. People who work in cities would have to liv closer to their work, and therefore suburbs would be much less popular and
According to DBQ 13, document 4, it states, “Your houses are better built, your clothes are cheaper, you have an infinite number of domestic utensils.
