City Life vs. Country Life

The very important question that has been thought by millions of people is, “Should I live in the city, or should I live in the country?” Also, “Which is better, city or country life?” Although many people agree and disagree, there is no right or wrong answer to this question. It is all up to your personality and what fits you. There are so many differences to city and country life. Some may attract one person, but repel another. One major issue affecting people trying to make the decision on where to live is the work. Both people in the country and city work, but how they work is much different. The average person in the country is normally a farmer, who makes his own food, and trades or sells his surplus. Jobs in the country are very limited, mainly to only farming, or a very far drive away to get to work. In the city, there is a very wide variety of job opportunities. Almost any job you can imagine, you can get that job in the city. Jobs in the city are generally much more high paying and are considered “easier” or more “mental” jobs, opposed to physical jobs. However, people in the country don’t have to spend or worry about their money, so they can save it. People in the city generally have more expenses and spend a lot of their money due to the higher cost of living. Hence, working in the city is physically easier and much more high paying, but it is almost impossible to save money in the city. The next matter that influences a person’s choice on whether to choose country life or city life is the entertainment. The city and country’s entertainment is tremendously unlike. Most people in the country are isolated, with very few friends, and usually close to their family. They normally create their own entertainment, such as horseback riding, hunting, and star watching.
