Adherents believe meaning can be found in their response to evil and suffering. A principal belief of Christianity is that God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, as a human to model how to be truly human and to reach full potential as an adherent. Adherents believe Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary through the Immaculate Conception after Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to bring her the news. It is believed Jesus Christ was sacrificed through his crucifixion to save adherents from their sins, and
Also, ‘the angels are sons of God’, (Job 1:6 NIV, TLB), in a sense that they are His creation.” (Sleman 12). After “God the Father,” there is “God the son,” meaning Jesus Christ is God’s son and also, a representation of God himself. Christians believe if they believe in the “son of God,” then they believe in God as a whole. Lastly, there is “God the Holy Spirit,” which is the power of God. Christians see that God gives life and he lives through His own spirit.
This intended that he was the divine Son of God and recognised as being ‘one with the Father’. Christian adherents believe of the divinity through the birth of Virgin Mary and the Son of God. Shown in the scripture passage Matthew 1:16, “and to Jacob was born Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ”, this can explicitly identify the Virgin birth, thus showing divinity. He was recognised as being human, living with normal human restrictions and sufferings however; was considered Son of God as his life, death and resurrection plays importance in humanity. Through the divinity and humanity of the Christ, Christians and believers share the stories through word of mouth.
In Christianity it is believed that Jesus Christ was the savior to all humanity and was sent to Earth by his father (God) to pay for the sins of all mankind. In Judaism on the other hand, Jesus was merely a prophet. Both Christianity and Judaism were established in Israel. Christianity was founded around 30 AD in contrast to Judaism which started around 1000 BC. Although a few sacred readings and the form that followers pray are similar in both religions they are also slightly different.
Above all other areas of dogma within Christianity, monotheism tops the list. Monotheism is the belief in one God who rules over all. This one God is the creator, and stabilizer of the universe we reside in. Christianity also believes in the Bible being the only set of scripture inspired by the word of God; Virgin Birth; martyrdom; the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; the second coming of Christ; the creation of the world through the one true God; life after death; Hell; Paradise after death; and the Holy Trinity. Above all of these dogmas, the faith in a one creator God who rules the universe is the most important.
Yes, of the Gentiles also:” (Romans 3:29). Christianity is for the whole world, not just a particular class, creed or race of people. For the human identity, Paul wanted everyone to know about their salvation through Jesus Christ. The universal uniqueness, of the Jews remained and stands that they are the selected people of God, therefore, as such that they are bound to a greater standard under the law. ” By works of the law no human being will be justified in His sight” (Piper,
Name: Rani B. Saliba Writing Style Used: APA Fifth Course and Section Number: Theo 201 – B16 Short Essay on Inspiration and Inerrancy of the Bible First we’ll discuss the authority of the bible; Authority is defined as “the right and power to command”. The authority of the bible comes from the fact that the fact that the bible is the physical result of God revelation of himself to mankind. In John 1:14 it says “14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Jesus is described as the word of god. And Mathew28:18 say “Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”.
God created the heavens and the earth as stated in the first chapter, first verse of the book of Genesis, found in the Old Testament. Genesis 1:27 also states that we as human beings, were created in God’s own likeness by him. We as Christian people are fully devoted the to the origin explanation found in Genesis and a few other books of the bible. Identity is a tough subject for many people as we have been given this earthly body as one identity, and our soul could be considered another identity. Christians, in order to move on to Heaven, need to make the two as one while keeping in the image of God.
I know this is true because it says so in the Bible. I believe the Bible is the word of God, given to man, and written into a book. My view on this is the same as Billy’s view on the nature of God. Billy said “The Bible is a book of Redemption, and of course I accept the Creation story. I believe that God did create the universe.” (Letters to Creationist, 2010).
Christians believe that there is only one God. They never really call “God” by any name other then God but Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Jehovah is the actual name of God. They believe that the word God is a title much like lord, president, general, king or creator. The name Jehovah is more of a personal name given to the almighty God and Creator of the universe. They refer to the scripture Psalm 83:18, according to the King James Version of the Bible: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."
