CHRIST – SERVANT TO KING The first sin of man broke his friendship with God and gave birth to sin. God was sad as humans were the most beloved in all of his creation. He decided to make a plan for their salvation. He sent many prophets and holy men to teach, preach and warn human race to turn away from sin, but nothing worked out as they themselves were sinful. Finally, God decided to send someone of his own, someone who himself had never sinned and who knew him as no one did: his only son Jesus. Jesus accepted to give shape to God’s plan and take a human form.God has given every human the power to choose so when Jesus was given a choice as to whom he would want to be in the human nature, he chose to be the son of a simple and humble women named Mary and her to be husband Joseph who was a carpenter and a poor man. Thus it all began with the annunciation by the messenger of God – Angel Gabriel and was brought into action by Mary’s Yes. “Be it done to me according to your will” , Mary’s ‘Yes’ to the call of being the mother of God divine son was a turning point in history. While saying a yes she never knew what awaited her and her son in the future. ‘And the word was made flesh…. and dwelt amongst us.’ By the power of the Holy Spirit the divine child entered into Mary and took flesh like us humans. There began the journey of Jesus’ humanly nature. From the time of his birth Jesus accepted poverty and humility though he was the son of God at the time of his birth there was no room for him and he took birth in a stable. He was wrapped in swaddling clothes, he had no bed but his cushion was the hay that was fed to the animals in the stable. In his initial growing years he helped his father Joseph in the carpenter’s work that his humanly father did. Though he was the treasure house of wisdom he never boasted about it.
