Children’s behavior depends on their environment around them. Bronfenbrenner (1977) state “according to the contextual model of child development, family is the most important microenvironment for children and has a direct and powerful influence on their personality and psychological health.” Naturally, children need to have somebody to look up to in their lives, but that does not mean that all of their role models have a good impact on them. For the last few years, it seems that kids are not getting enough attention from their parents, because of that child are acting badly like vandalizing other people’s property, drug dealing, and mistreating everyone. The major reasons for children’s misbehavior nowadays come from violence, bad friends, and bad nannies. Violence is a major issue that the community created and now facing towards kid’s attitude. Sometimes, it comes from families, for example, when a child misbehaves or does not do whatever the parent asks for, they would resort to hitting them and in some cases the kid needs to be rushed to a hospital due to the injuries. As Carlson (1984) and Straus (1992) claim “Every year an estimated 3.3 million to 10 million children are exposed to domestic violence in their home.” Since it is the way that they were taught to deal with things it became the only way for them to approach problems. Nevertheless, families are not always to blame, the media have their share. Most movies are based on imagination, yet not all parents take the time to make sure that kids understand that movies are fictional. There are many types of movies, like drama, comedy, and romance, but the most effective on the little ones are action and horror. The nanny’s job is to take care of the employers’ children while they are busy with their work. However, the amount of time that the children spend with the nannies can affect their behavior and emotions. In some cases, kids will grow an attachment to them, and most of the results are bad. The nannie could quit or get fired and she has to leave, therefore the child will get upset and misbehave so that the parents comes back. Childhood is a time for a kid to learn and understand the world. Kids gain their manners and behavior from the person how have been always with them, in this cause the nannies. Some of the nannies had a few bad experience in their lives and that lead to their awful behavior, and because of that they teach kids their bad behavior. Not all parents have the time to observe the nannie’s behavior around the children. A lot of them come from different countries from their employers’, and that means that they may have different traditions and customs that they teach them to children.
