But what does the UN really do, and is the UN an organization that is worth our money, and our time? I believe that the UN is a worthwhile organization, and is worth keeping around. The UN was started after World War II, when Canada and other countries got together to start an organization which would work together to stop wars and help each other. These countries would co-operate with each other, yet still remain independent countries. A few new countries join this worldwide organization every year.
I feel very lucky to be in Canada and it a very special opportunity for other`s to come visit or even live here, because I am sure that they will love Canada as much as I do. “Why work and learning in Canada must account for Canadian realities and management perspectives.” We currently live in an education-based society where there were once multitudes of production jobs and the average single income family could live comfortably in the middle income tax bracket. Unions were the norm and ensured that jobs were mostly secure, stable, and plentiful. A person could start work for a factory or company soon after they finished high school and remain with the same company for their entire career until they retirement. Today, however, this is not the case; the realities of the Canadian workplace within the global economy have changed where the employer no longer values his workforce, and the employee has no job stability
INTRODUCTION Canada is a very multicultural country that is rich in diversity, with cities such as Toronto and Montreal even serving as immigrant hot spots upon immigration. However, families who arrive new to Canada can bring with themselves the flavours of their previous native lands in the form of cultural practices, experiences, religion, morale or values. As years go by, these immigrants can either settle into their new surroundings by successfully merging their previous culture with their new Canadian culture; or, they may remain fully intact in their previous culture while adapting or merging at a much slower rate to the new Canadian culture. A major problem with the latter of the two may be that those children who immigrate with their parents, and hold foreign born status, may struggle to conserve the previous culture with the same ease and rate that the parents might – this can lead to parent-child conflicts as explained by Tardif-Williams and Fisher (2009) within the issue of acculturation. Immigrant families who migrate with children and youth are at a higher risk for parent-child conflicts (2009) in comparison to immigrant families whose children are born in Canada, or whom have spent many years in Canada already (2009).
But what about Canada and Canadian businesses? Even if the business started in Canada in order to really be successful the company must be global and offer their service to the entire world. This brings up the question is Globalization the force for prosperity? Is it the force for people to be successful and live life to its fullest? “Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others.
We have cultural diversity. Immigrants have come and settled in different regions of the country to take advantage of our rights and freedoms. Some people look at America as the Land of Oppurtunity. They believe they can find a better job and a better life for their family. I am proud to live in the United States if my parents didn't want me to attend a private school, I could still attend a public school and get a good education.
The journey which my mom and her family had to get to Canada was difficult to say the least, but one thing they always kept with them was this small Uganda flag. Although they were deported from the country Uganda, they still believed in remembering were they came from. Now that they are all successful people, it inspires me to try as hard as I can to achieve success in whatever I do. This flag is extremely memorable because it has been carried through many countries to get to Canada, their final destination. Every time I look at the flag, I picture my family struggling to get here, but looking at the flag for home of a better future.
Only for certain reasons can the teachers search a student. I believe that all over Canada schools should follow these guidelines. The first point I will talk about is the violation of Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Section eight in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states that everyone has the right to be secured against unreasonable search or seizure. This section proves that what is happening in schools all over the country is wrong, and it abuses the student’s rights.
Canada is a diversify country with individuals coming from all around the world to create this unique society. A place of acceptance, opportunities and equality, all these factors creates a dream for minority groups such as females, race that are minorities, and lower class to create their own bright future. Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious, than to be able to decide –Napoleon. Being denied the right to make a choice is what differentiates the free from the imprisoned. Does the ability to decide apply to all facts of life though?
Water is fundamental for life; a basic human right and should be accessible to all. Then the question should be; should Canada then be obligated to share the water supply with our neighbours? Since more than 70% http://www.ec.gc.ca/water/en/e_quickfacts.htm, July 13th, 2009 of the Earth is covered in water, one would assume there is an adequate amount of water for everyone. It would benefit Canada to share our clean drinking water with other less fortunate countries. By sharing, we would then help our own economic crises in Canada, and alleviate ourselves of recession with the income of money coming from other countries.
