Multi-agency working is different services, agencies, teams of professionals and other practitioners working together to provide the services that meet the needs of children, their parents or carers. These can include health visitors, educational psychologists, colleagues from other early year settings, social workers and parents or carers. Integrated Working is when all these professionals supporting children work together effectively to put the child at the centre, meet their needs and improve their lives all under one roof.

Children will lear and develop when ether is a friendly environment with people they trust. As a role model gain trust its important ,so children and young people can be confident to talk to you,be confident and focus and develop the selfs. Every child is different so we should adapt the way we communicate to fulfil the individual needs. Always communicate in a appropriate way to match the stage of development,personal circumstance and need of that person you are talking to. 1.2 Explain the principals of relationship building with children,young people and adults .
Building trust with parents or carers will result in them knowing that the nursery is a very good place for their child as it offers a great amount of help and support, which is especially important for new parents or carers. Other professionals It is also important to partner with other professionals as they will offer the support and services, where needed, to improve the overall development of the child. For example, a speech and language therapist may assist a child with communication difficulties. Another example would be a play therapist to diagnose, prevent or resolve a child with psychosocial challenges. Multi-disciplinary teams It is very important that everyone in a multi disciplinary team work in partnership.
Because children, young people and families needs can be very different, the composition of a multi-agency team will differ from case to case. It is important each practitioner brings with them their own specialist skills, expertise and insight so that the child, young person and family gets the best support possible. One key example is early intervention; they are able to intervene with a situation almost immediately depending if the evidence gathered and shared to other professionals shows the Childs safety is being compromised. Helping to promote the safeguarding legislation and “Every Child Matters”- Being safe. This way of working also provides a universal of services to support families who may be struggling with certain things e.g financial issues. Multi agencies are a formal arrangement. Some other benefits of this co-operation between different professionals help to maintain the focus on the child, while in the educational system.

It is important to work in partnership with others because all partner agencies can share information and concerns to create a holistic view about young people in my care when any need arises. Partnership working can help to keep the young people safe from harm and promote their welfare, to diagnose a special need in young people and get the help that is needed to the young person as soon as possible with the professional expertise of others. For effective partnership working I need to ensure that communication is clear and this can be formed between a number of organisations, agencies or individuals with a shared interest in the young person.
1.1 Explain the value of a child centred model of assessment and planning Child centred assessment and planning is a good way to make sure that the setting is giving the children attending the best possible chance to develop at their own rate. This is done by observation as it enables you to get to know the individuality of the child, ensuring that they are well placed and able to plan and all of their individual needs are met. I feel that in my role, observations take place each day through activities and interaction with the child. Assessing children is an on-going process, routines and activities can also build on information needs and interests. Working in partnership with others is important for children and young people because it can open more doors to help a child or young person for example children with speech and language or health issues will need frequent support or therapy from other professions such as speech and language therapist or health care professionals. It is important that childcare workers and other professions work together to support a child or young person 's needs. One example of a multi-agency is sure start, which is a government programme that aims to ensure every child has the best start in life.

Each profession will have its own ‘specific’ language and whilst this will not pose a problem when they are communicating with someone from the same profession, but may well confuse someone from a different sector. To enable professionals to work together successfully then they need to discuss matters before the partnership fully takes effect. Guidelines should be drawn up to outline what is expected of each department, how reports should be written and discuss the best way to work as part of a multi agency team.
