Ali’s work ethic and determination is something that I truly admire and value. As I play sports and wish to become the best I can be, the standard Ali set is certainly admirable. Even those who are not fans of Ali’s cannot deny the fact that he has more pride then any athlete known today. “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!” are words that have ringed throughout the decades since Ali spoke them. However, in my eyes it is not just the pre-fight jingles or quotes which illustrate Ali’s pride.

Is it a person’s action demonstrated to highest standards of conduct, ethnic behavior, and morals? I would say yes. I also believe it is the most visible facet of leadership. Simply put, it is how well a Marine serves as a role model for all others to emulate. For instance, being in good shape, coming to work with a fresh haircut, and knowing your job are all things that a young Marine looks up to in a leader.
The second sentence says that he has created one of the greatest inventions ever and different people have used it to make new and approved products. The last sentence translates that he’s proud of his accomplishment and that the world has benefited from it. Hopefully, people have taken these words and realized how lucky they are and are indeed touched by the fact that he said this. All of the things that I said before were ways that Charles Goodyear has touched many lives. He has a great history behind him even with a harsh life.
In this paper, I will explore Oroonoko’s courageous, honorable and unselfish character, attributes shared by other heroes; however, he also has flaws that will reveal his frailties. Oroonoko is a very proud man, and was an even prouder prince. His leadership, and heroism is respected and praised by all his people. Behn describes Oroonoko as an honorable and brave young man. She states, “He became, at the age of seventeen, one of the most expert captains, and bravest soldiers, that ever saw the field of Mars … Besides, he was adorned with a native beauty so transcending all those of his gloomy race, that he struck an awe and reverence, even in those who knew not his quality” (Behn 12).

Progressing through the stages of team development requires a dedication to the job, the military and the objectives of the organization itself, as well a commitment to excellence in service. My service was highlighted by many decorations, letters of commendation, letters of recommendation and selfless devotion to duty without regard for my own personal safety, which allowed me to rise very quickly within the ranks and progress rapidly within team. Our diversity within the military, across all measures, was the defining achievement that allowed us to prosper from all walks of life, religious backgrounds, and levels of intelligence, races, creeds and origins. The successful collaboration from all of the available human resources is at the very heart of the military and its successes worldwide. Any serious conflicts that arose were generally dealt with swiftly and according to the Uniform Code of Military Justice although, minor conflicts and issues were usually handled in house where orders were issued and then
He was a leader of character, presence and intellect, the values he held as his own, duty, service and country have been indoctrinated into the Non-Commissioned Officers daily life and embodied in our creeds and values. Gen. Schwarzkopf believed that competence and character were among the highest attributes a leader should have to be successful and is also part of our current leadership doctrine. His character, presence and intellect are what made him an extremely successful and effective leader. His character during his career created an environment that made Soldiers want to follow him into combat, no matter the possible outcome. He always believed that character required a sense of duty, ethics, and morality but was not always a measure of competence.
Churchill was a visionary leader, with strong leadership that was called upon most often during times of crisis. Winston Churchill successfully led Britain through World War II. When asked, he described the achievement as his "walk with destiny”, a destiny for which he believed he had spent all his life in preparation. (Martin Gilbert, Winston Churchill’s War Leadership 2004) Criteria The true test of any leader is during times of challenge and controversy. The issues confronting Churchill could not have been more critical yet he demonstrated incredible courage and integrity both in his action and his words.
