Characteristics of a Good Leader

Think about some of the important leaders you know, whether they are heroes or villains. They may be fictional or real. There are distinct characteristics that make them an amazing leader, or an awful leader. In my opinion, the three most important qualities of a good leader are honor, loyalty, and putting others needs before your own. The first of these qualities, honor, is required because you always want the people to trust you. Being honorable helps you build respect from others. Having honor will make you a very valuable person. If you were dishonorable nobody would trust you. Honor is one of the most important qualities to have as a leader. The second of these qualities is loyalty. If you aren’t loyal, then nobody would want to do business. Loyalty also helps create trust between people. If you are not loyal then you wont be able to keep acquaintances from leaving. Loyalty is the driving force for successful relationships. The last of these qualities is putting others ahead of yourself. If doing something will benefit the your clients or friends without hurting yourself, then you should make all efforts to do so. Putting yourself out there for others creates a great bond between a leader and his followers. Your followers need to feel like you would do anything for them. By putting yourself out on a limb, your followers will do almost anything you ask them to do. As a leader you should always show honor and loyalty. Always give your everything for your followers. These are the most important, but not all of, the required qualities you will need to be a good leader.
