Henrik Ibsen depicts how the conscious and subconscious motives and desires are obtained. Kristine Linde is a woman who has had to give up her dreams due to circumstances beyond her control. She was once in love but because her mother “was bedridden and helpless”and she “had to provide for two younger brothers”(Ibsen, 2011, p. 556) she was forced to marry for convenience of the situation. We can tell this has made her look at life in a more realistic and wise view than that of her friend Mrs Nora Helmer the main character. Mrs Linde has had to work hard and was not afforded love and children which she longed to have.
Both men tried to turn Janie into what they believed was the ideal women, but they never loved Janie for who she was. She was never able to take control over these situations and comes to grip with her individuality. She was pressured to make decision based off what other people thought and not what she truly felt. This never really becomes evident to the reader until the hurricane and Janie’s new found
On the other hand, when Juliet was in desperate need for help, the Nurse didn’t do her very much good. Juliet’s parents were both disappointed in her and threatening to disown her because she refused to marry Count Paris. When she confronted the Nurse for help and advice, the Nurse told her that she should break the law and marry a second man. More than that, she wasn’t concerned with Juliet’s true feelings but rather with the fact that she may lose her job if Juliet continues to refuse. Orual never feels that she is loved by anyone, that is, until Psyche enters her life after Psyche’s mother dies giving birth to her. Orual takes it upon herself to become Psyche's guardian and to raise her. Orual loves Psyche more than anything, but her love is selfish and very possessive. Orual is tormented by the thought of having to ever give Psyche from her possession and she does everything in her power to prevent it. After first being separated from Psyche then becoming bitter from not seeing the same things as Psyche once reunited, I realized the tragedy was that not only did Orual never found the “love of the Gods,” she also never learned to love her life and accept herself as the person she was.
She did, but it was half-hearted and she herself said it wasn't the truth. She had loved Tom when they'd married, she said, but she'd loved Gatsby too. He lost her to Tom again because he pressured her. She was weak and endlessly dependent and Tom was stabile. Either she was too weak to figure out her situation, or a lifetime of having everything handed to her made her simply not want to.
My grandmother and I had a great relationship where I could tell her anything, we could go shopping or out to eat together. Whenever I got in trouble my grandmother was always there to reprimand me, but also be kind and caring and assure me that she still cared and loved me even though I was in trouble. My mother and I had a total opposite relationship where I always felt anything I did was never enough for her and she never saw the good I would do or appreciate it. As a result I tended to not be around my mother a lot or be able to confide in her at all. I resented her and did not feel like she was a true parent because she was always yelling or correcting me about something I would do wrong.

Lucy loved her mom but her mom constantly neglected her when her brother came to their life. Lucy is thought to be a bitter character because she was unable to love anyone, she didn't want to love anyone like she loved her mother which rejected and left
Nora is the most admirable character in the whole play. Back in the day when it takes place, it was unthinkable that a woman could leave her husband to obtain freedom. However, Nora had the courage to take the step forward and abandon the man she no longer loved. She chose to support herself and educate herself to be a better person. The marriage between her and Torvald was not a true marriage; they never understood each other and never talked about serious matters.
The doctors couldn’t seem to make it stop are make her all better. She was ready to go, give up, but as a family we keep holding on not understanding her wishes of let me go this is horrific on my mind, body and soul please free me. All of the morphine and manmade medicine was doing her no good the pain was still persevering through. Definitely she wasn’t eating drinking are even trying to communicate any more. She had lost her will to go on with life.
