Experience of the ageing process is quite different to each other. Every individual ageing process passed through different stages of life. Changes that occur to each individual with ageing comes in to three categories physical, psychological and social. There fore changes with the process of individual getting older so as we know that we all experience common changes in some relative. As a result our diet, habits and social and psychological factor remain some how quite unique as result of ageing.
Change is something that is very important to all of us, as it is crucial to the development, and continually present, in the lives of all human beings. Change is the process through which people or any life form adapt over time, as a result of their surroundings, their perspective or themselves. Change will always occur but the extent of it will depend on the individual and how they react to it. This is evident in “Looking For Alibrandi” by Marlina Marchetta. This novel mainly deals with emotional change but Marlina also demonstrates how our perspectives can change, and how change can happen over time gradually and naturally.
Not only the young daughter Lin, but also everyone who tries to live and fit in different country with a strange culture always finds a big challenge of adaptation. Every country has different tradition, culture, and custom, it makes people find difficulties in changing themselves to fit in the new life. However, it also causes many positive effects on people by changing their point of view and personalities. During the story “All- American Slurp”, the Lins find the hard ways in learning American culture. They try to act professionally like the other Americans, especially the young daughter Lin.
The Role of Adversity In everyday life we are faced with hardships in which we have to overcome. When we overcome these hardships, our perception of life is altered and in turn we often change our own identity. One event of mass adversity and one’s path in life can be altered and their identity can change forever. For instance, after the fall of the twin towers, people’s lives around the world shifted and their identities forever changed. Everyone became more cautious and many had lost the trust of foreign societies, even society itself.
An Uncontrollable Shift As one advances in life, there will always be a slight, if not a complete turnaround, of a person’s identity within themselves. Whether from a spontaneous revelation, or a lifelong pursuit, the reshaping of one’s identity is a key point in a person’s life that can bring about drastic change in one’s everyday life, either socially or personally. In the texts of Paulo Freire and Richard Rodriguez, it is evident that identity is an abstract thing; a thing that can be influenced, shaped, and eventually concreted at a certain point of realization. It is under this “abstract” definition of identity that the reader can better understand what it really means to truly change what it is means to live. It is not a question of if a given person will experience a reshaping of identity; rather, it is a mere question of when and how it will occur.
However, there is one rule that Washington writes that is important and that many people today have lost knowledge in which is that “every action done in company, ought to be with some sign of respect, to those that are present”. and that is his first and most valuable rule. Treating others with respect is something that has been lost in many people today. First, people do not know how to respect others, especially due to the technology that many have access to. The younger generation of many teens and children have lack
Older children were also in day care or on their own. Children were suddenly responsible for things far beyond their knowledge, like cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and caring for their brothers and sisters, as well asthemselves. The kids had no warning of this, except for overhearing their parents' arguments about the mother working outside of the home. Before the 1960s, parents were in charge of households, not the children. Excepting parents with mental illness, alcoholism, or other problem behavior, when parents abused or neglected their children, they were the ones who maintained homes and enforced rules for the family.
These unique pieces of literature have similar traits within the message of today. Everyone, whether good or bad, struggles with social conflicts, different moral, personal and social values. Each main character’s lives are reflective of the spiritual, personal and social struggles that we have to face and over come in society on a daily basis. People must embrace, encounter, and overcome these struggles if life is to be successful. Goodman Browns’ desire, faith, and feelings were greatly changed.
Transformational Changes Different stages of the transformational learning cycles are reconging a problem, confronting it, finding a solution, integrating a new perspective. Through the stages of transformational learning its implementing on a persons life changes. Recongizing that they are not the only being going through this change. Changing a persons perspective, not only in individuality but also as a whole, then implementing that plan into action. There for making that transformational change.
There are a lot of people in this world that don't get the appreciation they deserve. As teenagers, we don't show our loved ones or even strangers the appreciation they should get because there are so many people that should get appreciated for everything that they do. I'm going to tell you who I think should get more appreciation from my point of view. Some people who I think don't get enough appreciation include parents, teachers, and store clerks. Most teenagers don't appreciate their parents even though parents do a lot for their children.
