Organisational change can be initiated deliberately by managers, it can evolve slowly within a department, it can be imposed by specific changes in policy or procedures, or it can arise through external pressures. There are models and frameworks used in identifying the drivers for change. Understanding the nature of change to execute; is useful in determining an appropriate implementation strategy; in order to effectively manage any responses to change. This report will focus on the management of organisational change at the Rural Payment Agency (RPA). The RPA was chosen because it is one of the projects exposed to; as part of working with Accenture. The report will seek to: • Identify the objectives of the change managers; • Use appropriate models and frameworks to identify the drivers for the change programme; • Explain the ways in which management implemented the change strategy, and assess the effectiveness of the process by which organisational responses to the changes were managed; and • Evaluate the extent to which the change was successful in meeting its objectives, and assess the
