A birth of a baby is one of life's most miraculous blessings one can experience. Men and women, soon to become parents are often asked a typical question. Do you want a boy? Or a girl? A common reply would be hope for a healthy baby. However, what we are reluctant to think about is, what if something happens through the pregnancy or during birth? Something, that could possibly lead to some kind of disability for our child. For most of us, parenting is not easy. We try to prepare and educate ourselves by means of reading parenting books, magazines, and talking to other parents. In some families, what we are not prepared for is the heartbreaking news our child has a disability. Perhaps, due to a problem in utero or traumatic delivery. We analyze. Our baby looks normal, seems healthy, but developmentally is not at a level he/she is supposed to be. My baby is not crawling, sitting up, or walking. We ask, "What is wrong with my baby?" Then through extensive evaluations, he/she is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy(CP), 2 in 1000 people in America have CP. It is a neuromuscular disorder due to injury to the infants brain. Caused by, premature birth, infection, decreased oxygen supply, traumatic delivery or toxemia. It can range from mild to severe. Usually, it effects muscle tone and movement. In some cases, mental retardation. CP is unpredictable, doctors may not be able to detect signs or symptons from birth, a year of age or even more. Introduction Cerebral palsy is an unpleasant condition that affects millions of people . The extent of this disorder varies from person to person . It damages the brain and causes them to walk inappropriately . Since most actions of the body is affected by cerebral palsy , it causes severe problems in the quality of life . A person suffering from cerebral palsy is often confined to wheel chairs and is dependent on
