Causes and Effects of Global Warming When you throw away a piece of paper do you think what you do for the environment or when you leave your computer on even though you don’t use it? All these small things are becoming a big part of Global Warming. Global Warming is the increase of the world temperature which is really bad. One of the main causes of Global Warming is human activity, because we all think about ourselves but not about the environment where we live. The main way in which people change global climate is by interference with the natural flows of energy through changes in atmospheric composition, not by the actual generalization of heat in energy usage (Thomas R. Karl 1,719). According to Kevin E. Trenberth there is no doubt that the composition of the atmosphere is changing because of the human activity, and because of the people greenhouse gases are the largest human influence on a global climate (1,719). Another main cause of Global Warming is the greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide (CO2) and as trees grow they take in CO2 from the air, but when the trees die CO2 goes back to the air which is really bad, so that is why we have to stop cutting all the trees (YPTE 1). So, with fewer trees, it is harder for people to breathe, because there are more CO2 in the air and we don’t breathe CO2 we breathe oxygen (YPTE 1). Plants collect the CO2 that we breathe out, and they give us an oxygen which we breathe in (YPTE 1).However as a large a part of deforestation makes, it causes less than half the yearly total of CO2, the rest is coming from burning a coal, oil and other fossil fuels, and those fossil fuels are burned in the cars, power stations, factories of the wealthier nations, such as USA, Western Europe and the USSR (YPTE 2). “Seventy-five percent of CO2 emissions come from industrialized nations; they have caused
