Cotzee Subject: Political Science 252 Cause of Revolution Breakdown in Libya Cause of Revolution Breakdown in Libya Introduction The basic overview of this essay is based on the underlying causes of revolutionary breakdown in Libya and also on the evaluation of country’s democratic future. Libya is facing a revolution breakdown, the rebels wants their president Gaddafi to step down, so there is violence many people are dying, the author will evaluate the country’s democratic future by stating that the two parties have to negotiate with the help of UN and come up with the solution ,and the essay will conclude by saying that the citizen of the Libya have to be given a chance to make their choice. According to Lutz &Lutz: 2005:11 “ideological terrorism is apolitical violence designed to achieve political goals that are determined by some patterns of political belief” The rebels in Libya caused ideological terrorism because they were relative deprivation which has been defined as the perceived difference between what citizen think they can acquire and what they believe they are entitled to. Factors promoting to breakdown Zagorski (2009:32) stated that there are four factors promoting to breakdown which are ,technological change ,new political actors ,ideological change and external pressure. The attention will be based on the new political actors and the external pressure. New political actors.
