It’s Only A Hook-Up, No Hard Feelings The term “dating” is so overrated and now in the shadows all over our college campuses. Most people now see dating as being an outsider to everyone else and making it harder to enjoy the college experience that every high school student awaits for. Back in the older days you would see couples going out together on Friday nights and spending quality time with one another. Now, Friday night means time to turn up! You will mostly see college kids going out to the club dancing on anything they can grind on, and if they’re lucky they will find someone to take back home to hook up with. There was an article written by, ABC News: “Study on College Hook-Ups” and they said, “Forty percent of the women in the study had experienced a hook-up. One in 10 reported having done so more than six times. At the same time, 63 percent said they want to meet a future husband at college and 83 percent said marriage is a major goal in life.” This sounds like an interesting trend that is developing on our college campuses toady and I will be analyzing the cause and effects on hooking-up. One cause of hooking-up could be because of stress. College students are put through a lot of hard work in the years they are in school. People may just want to release stress from their bodies in a sexual way. It will make them feel better and boost their mood in the moment. Releasing stress in a sexual manner can also make them forget about all the stressful things such as, study for a huge test they have coming up or not stressing over if they will pass a certain class. Another cause of hooking-up is because of drinking too much. People lose control of their bodies when they are drunk.
