Whatever in his glass portioned office cubicle or at corner of the office, he used to pray Namaj everyday 1-2 pm, the peak hour in Nepali banking sector. It kept not only his second man and other junior managers wait impatiently for his involvement in the decision making and operational works, but also a large number of Nepali customers wonder what was happening there. Overall, it has bearing on productive use of time and resources in the bank. Similarly , productivity was sure to suffer when half dozen of Muslims employees of the bank went on their dawn-to-dusk fasting ( one day meal fasting ) or Roja, during the month of Ramajan once a year by following the lunar calendar. The requirement to pray five time daily affects employee output , because when they hear the call to prayer, staunch Muslim workers stop whatever they are doing , and pray where they are . In these case, workers output is caused to drop sharply . However, according to Muslims intellectuals, Islam has not made these things compulsory for those who are not in a position to follow them.
