Cameron Dear Professor Varnum, I have decided upon option “A” for my paper, as I was interested in the tactics that David Foster Wallace utilized in his commencement speech. In addition, I also found his views on the true value of a college education to be very interesting and was excited to share my views as well. Please give me your feedback at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Cameron Most college educations are what one makes of them and a college education is about more than simply earning a degree and preparing oneself for their future. A college education is about giving oneself the ability to have control over their life.
For example, if you take Mr .Campbell. He has graduated from high school and has graduated from college with a bachelor's degree. He is now a physical education teacher. So, Mr .Campbell has lots of swag. I should be in SWAG because I would be perfect for this program.
These goals are my most important because I tell myself that I will succeed in making these goal accomplishments for my near future. With a little motivation, hard work and a great support system, I will be able to scratch these goals off my to do list. My first goal that I set out for myself to accomplish was to gain my associates degree in Criminal Justice here at Central Penn College. With an associates degree, my window of opportunity will greatly open up for my better gain. I will be able to take on any field of criminal justice that I’m allow to with this degree.

You can talk to anyone or go anywhere and know that that people will try to follow the Core Values to gain respect for one another and also try to make you time here the best it can possibly
Students are expected to respect their professor, each other, and the learning environment of our college classroom. Disruptive behavior, as defined by the teacher of record, will not be tolerated. If a student is repeatedly disruptive or refuses to comply with a reasonable reminder, he or she will be asked to leave the classroom and counted as absent. Students requiring such accommodations should contact the Section 504 Coordinator in Room 218, Dickey Hall.
There are valid reasons to think that raising content standards is the answer, and there are equally valid concerns about the practice, and some evidence that it may actually be harmful to student progress. As educators, I believe it is our duty to research these ideas fully and make sure that our teaching practices both follow the law and reflect our beliefs about how to best educate the our students. I believe I am an exceptional candidate for this program. I am mentally prepared for this. AP history will help me strengthen my writing skills, which I will use time and again throughout life. Additionally gaining a better understanding of university level course work is important for my growth. The first and most obvious benefit is the GPA factor of AP classes.
My Academic Philosophy I feel that education is in place to help students to fully achieve their goals in life. Students of today are our tomorrow. High school is here to help us set our GPA so that we can apply to a great college. When I entered ninth grade, I thought I knew what I was capable of, but I was wrong. As time went on I realized that I needed so much more.
The cultural diversity on campus can both positively and negatively impact students’ lives at university. Light asserts that the biggest change in American universities is the amount of diversity around campuses. Light states that “it is important to shape the conversation that accompanies any such challenge so that it becomes a constructive learning experience, not a simple fight for authority” (p. 159). Students should be made to realize that there will be differences in perspectives and opinions along with cultural differences however, they must be open to all this so that college experience becomes more meaningful to them. Light asserts that “diversity on campus exerts an impact on learning both in and out of classes” (p. 160).
