But, he also talked about how men make up the wealth and arms for the country. Benjamin Franklin’s quote speaks truths that are sometimes overlooked. First, Benjamin Franklin talked about the youth of a country and how they are the most important part for the public. This idea can be boiled down to very simple truth: it is easier to prevent something than it is to cure it. All of us should practice this in today’s world.
Foreign policy is important because it has a lot to do with the trade, technology, and communications of the United States. Also by nations working together global problems can be fixed easier. Equal rights are important to the U.S because it shows that everyone has the same rights including: black people, white people, Asian, men and woman, ect. A bad president would make the economy go down, not believe in equal rights and have a bad foreign policy. The best president in U.S history I believe is Abraham Lincoln.
After a while, many started to follow his statement. More change was made and more Americans were happy. As shown, Jackson has been known throughout history for important decisions and actions. I only gave a few of many of his achievements. Jackson was very well known for being labeled a self-made man.
Andrew Carnegie is considered hero for some people, but for some people the doubt continues today, and this because everyone has their own perspectives. Hero (male) and heroine (female) came to refer to characters that, in the face of danger and adversity or from a position of weakness, display courage and the will for self-sacrifice. To be considered as a hero, people have to evaluate certain actions that Andrew Carnegie did in his life. His rise from rags to riches made him a model of the American success story. The Birthplace of Andrew Carnegie was on a Cottage.

Originating in the Anglo-Saxon period, Burton Raffel’s translation of the epic poem “Beowulf” portrays a well-known hero who aspires to take on many great challenges. Honored and admired by many people, Beowulf possesses many of the virtues in which the Anglo-Saxons hold as the greatest attributes of their epic heroes. He exhibits these virtues through his loyalty to his king and followers, his eagerness to seek fame through his heroic deeds and family lineage, and his beliefs of faith and fate. Lead by fate, Beowulf sails across the sea to the Danish shore in anticipation to defeat the demon which feeds upon king Hrothgar and his people.

Lincoln had a meaningful, but shortened life, but he still accomplished more things than most other people in their lifetimes. Abraham Lincoln, the greatest man in U.S. history, had a childhood, education, and achievements that are exceptionally commendable.
He was the perfect example of social darwinism’s “survival of the fittest” (Lecture 5 Professor Cherron, Jan 21.). He went from rags to riches all by determination, self-motivation, and hard work. Andrew Carnegie understood worker’s rights and even went as far as to defend the union in some cases; however, his workers were not immune to unsafe or unfair working conditions. Working conditions were still extremely dangerous for them, there were many injuries, and the steel company released toxic waste, which led to many illnesses subsequently. The problem however, arises when steel prices by the ton drop.
