CAREER SELF ASSESSMENT INVENTORY VALUES AND EXPERIENCES 1) Describe the roles in your life that are important to you. Examples might include your work or career, family life, leisure, religious life, community life, and volunteer activities. Explain why these roles are important to you. Indicate how important each role is to your total life satisfaction. Assign a percent to each role (0 to 100 percent) so that the total adds up to 100 percent. 1. Learner (25%) Bill Drayton, the founder and CEO of Ashoka, a social organization that invests in leading social entrepreneurs for social improvement, said: “Entrepreneurs cannot be happy people until they have seen their visions become the new reality across all of society. They learn how to master whatever skills are necessary.” I have two goals in life: 1) to start a hotel chain business in Vietnam and 2) to be a social entrepreneur that This speaks true to me. I understand that success primarily requires diligence, knowledge, experience and skills, and many other factors. I never developed a passion for learning quite as strong as I have, since I have figured out my goals. I feel fulfilled and satisfied when I know I’m learning or doing something new that will help me take a step closer to my goals. I am interested in many fields, such as business, music, arts, literature and history. I love to travel and learn about different cultures. I want to be like a sponge, absorbing as much knowledge and experience as I can. 2. Artist (25%) I got an ear for music from my father and an eye for arts from my mother (not a brain for science from either of them; my dad was a chemistry professor and my mom is a biochemist). Playing the piano, singing, writing songs and drawing are my ways of meditation. I enjoy these activities so much that I get totally absorbed in the moment and just feel happy and content.
