Comparison Matrix Paper Alicia A. Bell LDR802 Progressions in Leadership Thought January 23, 2013 Introduction Empirical articles are research article that provides results of a study that utilizes information received from actual experiments and observations. The two empirical research articles studied for this paper were J. S. Ponder study titled Transformational Leadership: Practicing What We Teach in the Management Classroom and S. Bolkan and A. K. Ponder (2008) proposed to study the effects of transformational leadership style used by university business instructors in the classroom of undergraduate business students. In a similar line of study, Bolkan and Goodboy (2009) proposed to examine transformational leadership as it relates to college classrooms, outcomes of student learning, participation of students and instructor credibility from the student perceptions.
It's about Ben Ross, an intelligent history teacher that decides to perform an experiment on his class called “The Wave”, which at first started out so simple and small, until The Wave became unstoppable and spread around the school in such a short period of time, affecting many people. This essay will express how high modality language, descriptive language, symbolism, dialogue, emotive language, persuasive language and rhetorical questions are used to teach us about conformity, power and manipulation. Through the prevalence of conformity in The Wave, Morton Rhue is able to shape our knowledge of the real world. Conformity is evident when members of a society act defiantly to the norm and set a standard for others to follow. Naturally as humans we either follow or lead, as one takes the podium others bask in their glory and direction.
Pharmasim Individual Report April 18, 2012 MBA642 Marketing Management Marie Stewman Pharmasim Marketing Plan For my marketing plan, the best resource was the team rounds completed during class as my basis for research. Based on team play, I started with reviewing the first performance summary and determined this would be reviewed prior to making changes in each round. My plan began with choosing a target audience that would build loyalty, continuously review their values as well as my competitors, and set goals based on each of the reports given. I would first determine the levels of awareness and then continue to watch that plus the satisfactions levels to determine where the most investments should be given. The other detail I would need to continuously evaluate was the brand perceptions which would determine the best messaging used based on perceived values.
I put together the following plan: (2.2) (3.5) * Consult with my line manager the way forward * Contact the Team teach trainer to understand what other methods we could use e.g. de- escalation techniques and arrange re training for the team (3.2) * Contact other managers within xxx to attend training and buy into the de escalation techniques. * Contact schools to see how they used Team Teach in crisis (this is a word I will later change to “incident” as again I understand that crisis does not necessarily explain what has happened) (3.2) * Arrange a team meeting to discuss with the team the way forward offer ideas and suggestions and receive input and feedback. (2.1) (3.1) (3.2) 3.6 The aim of this is to always look for the best possible outcomes for the young people in the
