The greenhouse effect is when temperatures rise due to the sun’s heat and light is then trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere this happens because of the greenhouse gasses. Greenhouse gasses (methane, water vapor, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxide) are gasses that are in the Earth’s atmosphere that collect heat and light from the sun.…show more content…
Petroleum and oil are also fossil fuels that can attribute to global warming. Fossil fuels are made from dead plants and animals. When fossil fuels are burned the pollutants are sent into the air which contributes to global warming. The cutting down of trees and plants also worsens global warming. Trees collect carbon dioxide (CO2) which is what our bodies let out when we breathe. The problem with having fewer trees is that it would be harder to breathe due to the fact that having a lack of trees would make more CO2 in the air.
