It was established as a multi-purpose co-opperative by 10 people with 80% being youth and it was legally registered as a co-opperative with the help of LIBSA. In 2009 an egg production programme was established with the help of FAO which is the United Nations inniciative for a food security program. The funding was for the purchase of 500 egg laying chickens, Feeds for the chickens, cages, water storage Jojo drum, and vascines. The project is located at Ntshuxekani Properties at Jamela village where it has one office, storeroom, 50 square metre garden and a 16 x 5 metre square structure for laying chickens. There is also water and electricity within the premises. The co-operative also has been granted two(2) hector land for future expansion from Jamela tribal authority awaiting. The business (Lokologa Co-operative Limited) is an agricultural business that specialise in poultry farming (egg production). Currently the 50 meter square garden is being utilised for planting spinach during winter and okra in summer. This helps us to dispose the manure from the egg production. A drip irrigation is being utilised as a method of irrigation. The products of the co-operative are distributed using the direct sales to the customers, and in the future it will include retailing businesses.
