Introduction Business ethics refers to the knowledge and practice of what is right or wrong in the place of work. This knowledge and practice of business ethics regard the impacts of services or products and in a relationship with stakeholders. Attention to business ethics is crucial during times of change that is fundamental. These times are like those facing businesses today. In times of change that is fundamental, values that were taken for granted previously are questioned vigorously. Attention to ethics in the place of work helps to ensure that when managers and leaders are struggling in times of confusion and crises, they retain a moral compass that is strong. Founded in 1898 as a state corporation, it enjoyed a monopoly in Japan until 1985. After it had been privatized in 1984, it embarked on diversification into other products like pharmaceuticals and food. JTI links to a global marketplace where transparency, ethics, and fairness in commerce are increasingly critical to the way firms are expected to operate (JTI, 2015).
