This is my report to outline the electronic and non-electronic methods for communicating business information, using examples for different types of audience. Different types of audiences will have different requirements. First I will talk about the electronic methods (non-written), for communicating business information, for different types of audiences. Electronic (non-written) methods: Telephone Calls – This type of communication could be used a lot internally in businesses where they need to talk over the phone for an immediate, fast, and live response. This can be formal or informal.An example of this would be managers speaking to staff in the groups which they are managing; in this case it is informal. In this example I will say that the managers are of a gaming company – Activision and therefore the staffs are game designers. The managers may need to speak on the telephone to the game designers to communicate. They may need to communicate on which colours they should use for the theme of the game. If they are working in groups and the staffs are in different places, a phone call would be great for reasons explained above. Videoconferencing – This type of communication could be used to make people connect with eye contact – in different locations. This is live, so you can see the other people in the conference's body language and facial expressions which makes it more realistic, as it is via video. An example of this would be directors meetings to discuss the business, when they are communicating overseas they can listen to different directors opinions regarding the business. The technology which could be used is: computers, digital broadcasting to host the connection, DVD and the internet. Videoconferencing needs to be interesting and by seeing a live video you can stay focused for a much longer time than a really long written email for example. Short
