AMRITSAR : The Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkotta Industrial Corridor (ADKIC) could provide a much needed boost to states economy besides providing immense job opportunities especially to youth force and could define the direction of development of once terrorists infested state, these views were expressed by Industry representatives who are eagerly awaiting to see the project materializing but at the same time they want Center government to extend it up to Attari, a distance of about 28 kilometers from Amritsar so as to extend business opportunities to Pakistan and beyond. Member, Confederation of Indian Industry , National Council on Governance, Gunbir Singh told TOI on Friday that the import of corridor to Punjab was indeed a unique step.
"It is perhaps the most significant endeavour of the Center government to mainstream industrial activity of the region with the rest of the country" he said.
