Describe two different methods that you can use to plan your own work in a business environment. I will Prioritise and be flexible, be prepared for changes and always have a backup plan. I would keep diary to plan my schedule and you can write your plans down on a to-do list - Writing down everything has two purposes. Firstly, you are planning your job and the tools you need. Secondly, you are making a written account of your job for others to see. I would also make use of ms outlook for reminders and for a better idea of my timescales of tasks I would also use this for long term planning. 3. Describe ways of keeping other people informed about progress and compare their effectiveness. What are the benefits and drawbacks of each approach? It is important to keep people informed about progress because it helps them to know what targets they need to achieve and whether they have achieved them. 3. Briefly describe at least two different types of career pathways that may be available to you. The career pathway I hope to follow is in I.T. and train to become a network administrator. I hope to make this available to me by gaining network-based certifications like Microsoft MCSE and Cisco CCNA, Ideally, i will acquire a few certifications as part of a balanced overall mix of education and career experience. Typically one to two years of prior background is necessary for the entry-level certifications. Another career path available to me is in administration such as a secretary, preferably within a company as company benefits and the security that a company can provide is attractive to me, I will Go into a field that I enjoy, like legal but this may require higher training. I will apply for an entry-level secretarial position in an office even before i have training. Experience on my resume is often looked upon as greater than some training courses.
