Introduction In this section I am going to introduce the business I have investigated which is Tesco and the main topics I have looked at are: customer needs, measuring customer satisfaction , marketing, price , place, promotion, communicating with customers, use of technology , customer service, competitors, importance of good customer service and improving customer service. Also I have looked at many different product ranges Tesco has got and food ranges they got in their store. And I have carried out a questionnaire to ask people around what they think about Tesco or how they find Tesco as their customers. Tesco is a British multinational grocery and general merchandise retail headquartered in chestnut, United Kingdom. it is the third largest retail in the world measured by revenues and the second largest measured by profits(after Wal-Mart). It has 14 countries across Asia Europe North America and is the grocery market leader in the UK (where it has a market share of around 30%) Malaysia, the republic of Ireland and Thailand. it has many types of stores and it includes Tesco extra which works 24 hours, Tesco metro and Tesco express it sells many things including groceries all types of foods, clothes and household accessories. The founder of Tesco is called jack Cohen. He found Tesco in 1919 when he began to sell surplus groceries from stall at well street hackney in the east end of London. He made new labels using the first three letters of the suppliers name TES and the first two letters of his name CO forming the word TESCO. Customer needs In this section I am going to talk about the different types of customers at Tesco Spring Hill.
