Ryan Lerner The French Revolution is widely regarded as one of the most bizarre times in the history of the world. One of the most bizarre occurrences from this movement came with the adoption of a new French calendar. With the French movement, the phrase, “liberty, equality, and fraternity” became increasingly important. However, the adoption of the revolutionary calendar actually undermined all three of these values. While this calendar may have seemed very logical, promoting religious and social reform, it actually did much more harm than good.
The battle of the Spurs (1513) and the Battle of Flodden (1513), although to some considered small skirmishes, did make the countries of Europe start to notice England as a possible threat and certainly now knew about Henry VIII. England didn’t really gain the Honour and Glory that Henry VIII claimed they had gained through these two battles but it certainly did make other countries start to notice England and Henry VIII. One big success that Henry VIII did manage to accomplish in the early years of his reign was that he was able to gain the French pension he felt England deserved. After the capturing of the two towns Tournai and Thérouanne Henry demanded the French compensate the English for the areas that had been previously under English control. The Walt Disney Company open EuroDisney in April 1992, and expected their most lavish park to be a success, since it was larger and Disneyland, Disneyworld and Tokyo Disneyland. Much to the company’s surprise, European’s were not flocking to the park in the massive numbers that visited Tokyo Disneyland. At Tokyo Disneyland, families would stay overnight and often spend around $600 per visit, and many visitors were repeat customers. In contrast, European families were reluctant to stay overnight, and they did not want to spend the $280 a day to visit the park. Paris was chosen for the location of EuroDisney over 200 other sites because the French government had offered incentives to the company, along with the demographic data available showing Paris to be Europe’s most visited city by tourists.
John Dreyer was Okun’s successor. Dreyer lacked Okun’s rapport with the press. He often alienated reporters who could have helped Disney projects, such as Disney’s America, succeed. (Powell and Stover, 2001) An increasing number of CEO’s are demanding that PR (public relations) professionals handle new products and initiatives. (Nemec, 1999) Eisner certainly could have used a PR professional with the Disney’s America project.
It comes 1 o’clock and all you can think about is getting away from your messy desk and noisy co-workers. How frustrating would it be going to a restaurant to get away from the noise and mayhem, only to find more there then where you come from! If a restaurant isn’t doing all they can to make their customers visit as enjoyable as possible, then they‘re not doing their job! This is why I believe restaurants should have to right to ban teenagers. To illustrate, who enjoys eating in a messy environment?
My take from this movie? Fast food is of course VERY BAD for you but you have that choice not to eat it! Its not the fast food that makes you fat, it is the people that choose to eat it that makes them fat.
