1. Betty drove three hours in one-hundred degree heat. Explain if this fact has any bearing on whether or not the dealer must perform in accordance with the published advertisement. No, the details of what Betty endured during her three hour drive in the heat has no merit on whether or not Rally Motors is obligated to perform a duty to sell a vehicle to Betty in accordance of their advertisement of a truck in the newspaper. Many businesses uses newspapers for advertisements which are promotional sales pitch such as the one used by Rally Motors, portrayed in the video to entice customers, but they are not precise methods of an offer to a customer. Bait and switch tactics do occur in advertising however, when a business has an advertisement for particular item that has such a low price, it sounds too good to be true, this is a tactic used to entice the customer in the store to buy a product, this is known as baiting the customer. After the customer is in the store, the customer specifically wants to purchase the item advertised, the customer is then told that item is sold out or they are talked into buying something else, more expensive. The responsibility is that of the customer to read the fine print of an advertisement and the terms in regards to quantities, availability and conditions. However in this particular video it was mentioned that the fine print was so small it required a magnifying glass to read it. Providing this type of information in such small print can be conceived as misleading or a business is trying to conceal detailed information. According to laws of advertisement, an advertisement is considered deceptive if it contains a statement or omits information that “is likely to mislead consumers acting reasonably under the circumstances; and
