The act of drinking alcohol is found in characters that did not follow social traditions. This can be seen more in “The Great Gatsby.” In Gatsby, Nick abandons traditional ideas of only being a wealthy socialite through inheritance and acquires self-made wealth. Nick participates in social drinking when he attends gatherings of his wealthy friends. The first time Nick is offered alcohol, by his traditionally rich friend Tom, Nick says, “I have drunk just twice in my life and the second times was that afternoon.” It seems that Nick tried alcohol once and never found any pleasure in it. Or else, Nick would have continued drinking.

Cirque du Soleil is a fun-filled service of entertainment and has been for thirty years. It has become more profitable than Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey ever thought they could. But came to a point Cirque was losing a vast majority of its audience due to the interest of other venues that was steadily and rapidly growing such as, basketball, football, and home entertainment such as video games; which caused an increase in their expenses. Over the last decade other venues has stolen much of the market from that which was once a highlight in the entertainment industry. Cirque du Soleil and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey once shared not only the spotlight but the financial gains as well.
Gambling in scholarly sports has damaged the reputation of the sports and establishments themselves. For example, a survey was conducted on 2,000 male athlete students at the University of Cincinnati and it found that 25 percent of the students had gambled on sporting events other than their own while at college. Four percent admitted to placing wagers on games in which they played, and 3 even admitted to changing the outcome of the game. III. By paying scholarly athletes a wage and or salary you are giving them an incentive to work hard not only in the classroom but also out on the field.
This year playing football for Springfield is not the same as last year in high school because I’m not as close with the people on my college team. Last year we had so many exciting games being the top team in New York. I specifically remember the game--we played St. Anthony’s to open up the season. I remember that game perfectly like it happened yesterday. St. Anthony’s usually beats us, but it’s a close game every single time.
My thought was that hospital staff tends to interact more with pediatric patients than adults. In order to accurately observe this, I recorded all the patients that came into Pod A on those days. I wrote down their age, what they were there for, and how many times the nurse walked into the patient’s room and how many times the tech walked into the patient’s room. I also recorded how the patients and staff interacted and who initiated the interaction. When I walked into the emergency department on the first day of observation, I saw a big rectangle with desks in the middle and glass doors surrounding them.
Gibson blazed a new trail in the sport of tennis, winning some of the sport's biggest titles in the 1950s, and broke racial barriers in professional golf as well. At a young age, Gibson moved with her family to the Harlem borough of New York City. Gibson's life at this time had its hardships. Her family struggled to make ends meet, living on public assistance for a time, and Gibson struggled in the classroom, often skipping school all together. However, Gibson loved to play sports—especially table tennis—and she soon made a name for herself as a local table tennis champion.
While others will argue back because they believe they earned all of the money and could be that some are stubborn and hard headed. So lets get on with this debate and you tell me your own opinion on why they get too much money or they earn every penny they get. So to start this debate we will go over the pro’s of getting paid this much money and why they do. For instance some believe they are not over paid due to the risk of injuries that could put them out of the sport the rest of their life giving the reason why they get paid so much money. Also some will say they deserve the check due to all the work they put into it, because when the season is over they are still training and getting ready for the next season.
