However, uncontrolled violence is not the best strategy in a community because the costs are too high e.g. there is a risk of injury. The best strategy therefore is to use aggression tactically. If we look at animals that display aggression, it is clear that this sort of display is an adaptive response that minimises physical contact which is likely to cause injury or death. Lorenz refers to ritualised displays of aggression in which two opponents try to make each other believe they would lose if it actually came to a fight.
There are different types of bullying of which bullying statistics reveal almost half of all students have experienced. 35% of kids have been threatened online and six out of ten teenagers say they witness bullying in school every day. 75% of school shooting incidents have been linked to bullying and harassment. Verbal bullying is the most common type of bullying, with about 77 percent of all students being verbally bullied in some way including mental bullying or verbal abuse. On the other hand, active cruelty is more well-known. Active cruelty occurs when the abuser intentionally harms an animal. Normally, the abuser does this to feel powerful or gain control. Examples of active cruelty include fighting, burning, shooting, and beating. Both types of cruelty should be taken seriously, but psychiatrists have found that harming animals is a precursor to committing more acts of violence.
It might seem less serious, but that is not the case; it can lead to terrible pain and suffering, and sometimes death. Some examples include starvation, dehydration, untreated infections, inadequate shelter in extreme weather conditions, and the failure to get medical care. Passive cruelty is sometimes due to the owner’s ignorance, so many animal control officers will first try to educate neglectful owners on how to properly care for animals before giving them a ticket or placing them under arrest. The second kind of animal abuse is active cruelty. It is more well know and disturbing.

Parents and educators have difficulty in understanding how serious the situation is for students who experience bullying because reporting is too low. The role of parents and educators is to identify behavioral changes or a decrease in grade performance. We must never misjudge where inevitably dogs are from and what they actually are [pause] ’’ Animals.’’ Without ability to use reason animals are potentially more dangerous than humans and do not have the capacity or ability to establish calculated decisions. Yes dogs can be classified as companions and a strong sense of friendship can be established but dogs must never be underestimated and owners should always take into consideration that they are not as responsive and adjustable to our human world and existence. Animals especially dogs can become extensively prone to bad behaviour and can sometimes become overly violent and aggressive. Owners should take full responsibility for their dog’s negative behaviour. When incapable owners reframe from restraining their beloved pets they should feel the full weight of the law and be heavily penalised.
You don’t just say to the lawyer, “That person harmed me, destroy that person at once.” You wouldn’t, would you? Animals have to be justified to our standards! The animal could have even done it accidentally. Some of the animals might think of us as food. They try biting us, but once they find out we are not food, we don’t just go to them and kill it.
